The Shine Theory
Females constantly being in competition with one another has a bigger negative effect on girls than we actually think about. When we experience girl on girl rivalry we are making it extremely visible to others what we think that we lack in ourselves. The shine theory is about befriending girls or women that intimidate you, to surround yourself with them and become immune to any feelings of useless jealously. We have developed an instinct that makes us think we should hate or belittle successful, attractive and happy women because we believe it makes us seem inferior. It’s important to get to the stage where befriending powerful girls is gratifying and use it as an chance to help you grow. Know that if a girl is smart or pretty it doesn’t mean you lack those qualities. Think about the first reaction and the second thought. The first reaction or impression of someone comes naturally but the second thought you can control. This being your first impression “oh I’ll never be as cool as her” and make your second thought “I want to be friends with her! She’s seems interesting”. That is the way you get over jealously and resentment. Having real confidence is infectious, embracing your achievements and helping other girls embrace their achievements is infectious!!!
