i see so many people claim women blame everything on their hormones, yet its only teenage boys who seem to be allowed to express how terrible and horrible life is, meanwhile teenage girls are just expected to what? grow up in a world where they're treated as subhuman - well aware of the fact they cant make much change in their lifetime - with a big smile on their face? watching more and more restrictions be put on them, and their bodies treated as something sexual before they're even comfortable with their sexuality, meanwhile their male peers are allowed to walk around shirtless, and jerking off to violent porn is seen as something normal- and a punchline to some jokes?

The more I think of myself as just another animal, the better I feel about my body. Yup I have breasts, I'm a sexually mature female human. A caribou does not feel bad that her antlers have grown in. I eat, I am an animal. No other animal on Earth feels shame at the thought of eating besides humans. A mouse does not worry if her face is asymmetrical, a lizard does not attempt to take up less space, a boar does not think about her body hair. Dysphoria can only ever exist within the confines of a human society. Who made you feel so bad you felt the need to self implode? A person? A collective? There's nothing noble or profound about self destruction, even single celled organisms want to live.

The christian girl autumn meme still lives in my head rent free bc it was literally just a picture of two women standing there in warmish clothes, nothing about that picture suggested malice but it was randomly posted and captioned with "christian girl autumn" which apparently was sufficient to start a viral chain of comments about how evil they look. People weren't convinced they were "nice" until they publicly laughed along with the meme and donated money to the person who originally posted their picture. Even at this point people would concede they were nice but saying it was a "plot twist". Like I just NEED these people to understand that its not a twist and there was never any actual reason to assume they were horrible, they were literally just standing there. Once again, unironically, god forbid women do anything.
