While the sequel to this book is quite funny and worth a read, it never felt satisfying to me as a sequel because we didn't see much of Charlie learning how to run a chocolate factory as enormous and imaginative as Wonka's factory. I'm mostly interested in world-building around the factory, Wonka's approach to creativity and candy-making, or how anybody can keep up with him. I am most familiar with the books, so please stick with them. Some starting ideas if you want: -exploring specific areas of the factory mentioned in passing (rock candy mine, fudge mountain, lake of hot caramel) -Wonka drags Charlie all over the factory and/or world to experience new tastes he should know. -the secrets behind the magic of Wonka's candy-making (maybe literal magic?) Request 2 by Ysavvryl The Lost Zoo - Countee Cullen Any Character Do not want: a focus on romance, anything over a T rating This is a cute little book about Noah's Ark, imaginary animals, and a cat being an author, so I love it even though I only picked it up as an adult. It even encourages fanfiction in the last chapter because of the lizard and the Pussybow. Here's some ideas if you like: -I like how Noah is so impressed at Sammie Skunk's letter that he invites him to stay in his cabin. How does that work out? -Apparently, there's a press on the ark to print up newsletters during the voyage. What do those newsletters look like? -Poor little Squilililigee didn't deserve its fate, so I'd love to see an alternate happy ending for it. -And as the last chapter asks, what is a One-Sided Lopsided Lizard, and why didn't it get on the ark? Request 3 by Ysavvryl Serendipity Series - Stephen Cosgrove Any Character Do not want: romance, anything over a T rating. I nominated Morgan the Unicorn and the princess as one of my treasured books from my childhood is Misty Morgan. While it is a moral story and everything is set up to portray that in a simple fashion, this book could have stood on its own as a longer children's fantasy in my opinion. There is so much that is mysterious and intriguing about it; the second page of text alone talks of the princess being a slave to time in a castle full of clocks. Why is this? Is there anybody else in this castle? Any world building around Misty Morgan would be great. Though friendship fluff between Morgan and the princess would be sweet as well, as they're both adorable. If you decide to base something off one of the other Morgan books, please let me know so I can find a copy to read!

Signal boost. Your mod ran a kids' tv themed exchange this year instead of a book fic exchange and there's one pinch hit left unclaimed. The series set up such an interesting dynamic between Marguerite and Paul by having their relationship develop between Marguerite and guard!Paul in the Russian monarchy universe. I'd love to see how the relationship between Marguerite and her!Paul deal with that and how their own potential romantic relationship develops as a result. I'd also love to read a story about Marguerite and Paul from another universe or something that delves more into the relationship between Marguerite and Paul in book!verse in the past.

This was a really fun read for me, but I did feel like I wanted a little more focus on the romance between Kate and Andy. I'd love to read something that expands more on the scenes we got in the book or deals with something in their future - whether it's right around the time of the epilogue or if it's years later. Just something that fills in more of the relationship.

Pinch Hit 10 Request 1 by Moontyger Dreamdark series - Laini Taylor Rating: Any Rating Any Character I'm really fascinated by this world, the way it has all the trappings of a kind of twee Victorian fantasy, but it's not really like that. I'd love to read more about this world. Maybe a retelling from the PoV of one of the creatures, perhaps one of the crows? Or a prequel would be interesting; it's clear Magpie lived in Never Nigh for awhile, but we don't know many details. What was that like? How did she end up with the crows? Maybe a tale of early adventures? Or the first time Poppy spoke to a plant and heard it speak back. Maybe you could explore more of the changes Magpie has made to the Weave. Or you could go for future fic: what does this new golden age for fairies look like? Request 2 by Moontyger Snow Eyes series - Stephanie A. Smith Rating: Any Rating Any Character The books tell us these stories are just part of a cycle of tales about Amarra (and a separate one about Amant). I always expected there to be more, too, more tales of Amarra and what made her so special to the Lake Country, but these two books were all there ever were. So my most basic request would be more. What else does Amarra do in her travels? What is her life as a Servitor like? How do the Servitors change? And Osei: what is her life like after she finally chooses? I can't imagine all that time on Death's shore didn't have an effect. Or Beya: when I first read these books, I thought she was terrible. Now, well, she's not very sympathetic, yet her fears and even her actions and motives are so relatable. She's not even close to perfect, but I don't think she's a bad person and I'd love to read something from her point of view. What is her life like after Amarra leaves? How is it once she returns? Is their relationship ever mended? Something about the Lake Mother herself and how she relates to her Servitors could be fascinating, too. It's clear things have changed and much has been lost. But how can that be, when she still speaks to them? What does she think about these later Servitors? Request 3 by Moontyger Toaru Kagaku no Railgun | A Certain Scientific Railgun Rating: Any Rating Shokuhou Misaki, Misaka Mikoto The Daihaseisai storyline has made me incredibly curious about Shokuhou. What is it like to be a middle school student who can mentally control nearly everyone around her, including adults? How long has she been able to do this? Did she start out just being able to do little things? What was it like when she learned what she could do? Are there other people with Mental Out or was she the first? What is her family like? Does she even have one? For that matter, she hinted that she might be older than middle school age and she does look noticeably younger in the flashback scenes, so that's something worth exploring, too. Or you could write about Mikoto. Why is it that she seems to be the only one still on touch with her family? You could address some oddities, too; for example, she tells the little kid with electric powers, who can barely make a spark, that "we all start out like that". And we're told she did start as a level 1 and worked her way up. But when we see her in the flashback to when she gave away her DNA sequence, she's awfully little. So when did she come to Academy City? Did they know she would be a level 5 right away? Or when did she develop to that level? At the end of the Daihaseisai arc, Mikoto thinks that she dislikes Misaki, but they could work together in the future. A story about that could be interesting, too. Overall, I am fascinated by the world of Academy City, so if you want to do a world-building fic, I'm up for that as well. Request 4 by Moontyger Ultra Maniac Rating: Any Rating Sakura Nina While I'm not super invested in the whole Holy Stones plot they added for the anime, I love Ultra Maniac as a whole. Mostly, I just want more. Some ideas you could explore: what was Nina's time at school like, either before she became an exchange student or after she returned to go to boarding school? For that matter, what is her home life like? The series creator said that contrary to the portrayal of the Magic Kingdom in the anime, she'd envisioned it as basically the modern world with magic. There are lots of possibilities to explore with that concept and I'd love to see anything you came up with. I'd also be interested in a story set after Nina returns to Japan to finish high school there. How does that go, now that she's no longer a bad witch? Of course I love her friendship with Ayu in particular. (Honestly, I ship them, if you want to go there, but you don't have to.) Since we know they exchanged letters, an epistolary fic of their letters while Nina was away could be interesting as well.
