Final Update

Hi everyone!

I hope the new year has been treating you well. Today we would like to make 2 important announcements.

First, from May onwards, we will shut down the game from Apple Store (iOS) so for iOS users, if you want to play the game but haven’t download it, please download it by May.

Meanwhile, we are trying to get the game up on Steam as promised. We have already registered a new account and paid for it and now awaiting documentation verification from Steam, for weeks. We will continue to push them for an answer. Once we past that stage, then we can upload the game. For those who would like to stay for Steam, please do so. If you want to change your platform to iOS or Android, please send me a message. If you have any questions regarding your game on Steam, you can message to inquire, I will answer all of them.

Second announcement, this update will be the final update on the game. The following are the reasons.

The game is not generating income Since the release last year, the game is not generating income as much as expected. The plan from the start is to continue the rest of the characters from the income we get from Sirius’ route for Yoshino, and from Sirius and Yoshino’s income to continue for Cassian and so forth. Kickstarter was a springboard for us. However, from the sales of the game, we cannot even afford to continue the annual subscription from Apple Store. We have exhausted our budget and we have to shut down the iOS version, which is the more money generating one among the two, to cut losses. To date, both myself and Paey-Lun have not been paid anything to produce the game, every budget has gone into the game.

Also, there were a lot of hidden cost that we weren’t aware of at the beginning of the project such as cost to register and to maintain an account on these publishing platforms. We also did not put aside a budget for writing, proofreading and editing, which takes up a majority from our gains from Kickstarter. Initially I thought I could fill up the position as the writer but from feedbacks, I wasn’t good enough so with the new budget that we had, we went looking for writers. We found and used a few writers, they were good but just couldn’t fit into the style and environment that we were looking for. Finally, we found one and thus manage to complete Sirius’ route.

Piracy is hurting sales and demoralizing We have been receiving notifications of piracy of the game. This hurts our sales. Even after filing DMCA for one, another one pops up. This is very hurtful and demoralizing, to see our sweat and blood given out for free. Not to mention filing DMCA takes up money.

Lost of interest As a producer, I have lost interest in producing the game the moment the initial team left. I wasn’t prepared for the team to ghost the project, so looking for new members to fill in the gaps that I have envisioned was near impossible but we did it anyway.

The game is also giving me a lot of stress and sleepless nights since the start. I also have a full time job now that is taxing so I do not have any more time, energy nor space to handle a project this big even though everyone has been supportive and patient. We have not found anyone to continue the project so we have decided to end it here. Perhaps, in future if the project is revived, another person will take over to update again.

What we will do from now is to give out the game to the remaining people who pledges 3 routes and above. So even if you did not list Sirius as a route you’d like to play, we will still send you the game code. That and we will push to release Sirius route on Steam.

This has been a very painful decision to make and I hope all of you can understand.

I’m very sorry that it has come to this but for whatever it’s worth, thank you very, very much for your support and patience along this journey.

2022 January Update

Happy New Year!

It's been a very busy and stressful 4th quarter of 2021! Apologies for the lack of updates but year ends are usually the busiest. Anyway, if there are no hiccups, Sirius' route will be up on Steam this month and codes will be distributed accordingly.

2021 July Update

Hi Peeps!

It's been scorching hot these days so I hope everyone is staying hydrated and keeping cool.

I hope everyone enjoyed the game so far on iOS and Android. The game is still not live on Steam yet as we are still fiddling with Steam's settings and much happening with personal lives. We will update again when it's live, hopefully on the next update!

Heya!

Hope everyone is doing fine! It's rainy season here and all is gloomy BUT we have some good news! Drum rolls please!

With much excitement, we would like to announce that Purrfectly Ever After: Sirius's route is now launched! It's available in App Store and Google Play and we have also sent out codes to those who chose to play on iOS or Android. Please check your email for your personalized code. Please let us know if you have any trouble downloading or redeeming the codes, we'll be happy to help!

As for Steam, we are working to releasing it in the coming month. We just gotten our account back from our publisher and we are learning on how to publish on Steam. So Steam players, please be a little bit more patient with us! For those who are not aware, we are now independent from Sekai Project, who is suppose to be our publisher on Steam.

Although the game is listed under my name, it's really a group project by members of Weeev. Due to the pandemic, I couldn't return to sort out banking and legal stuffs so it'll be under my name until I manage to get back.

Last but not least, I can't thank you all enough for making this happen! Thank you for your love, support and patience all these years!

Hello, hello, hello!

We have some updates and news to share today!

First of all, we are already in the publishing stage, yey! Please allow a few weeks for the game to be approved on each of the platforms, namely iOS, Android and Steam. 

On iOS, expect some delays as there are some technical issues with exporting the game. 

On Android, there is no problems so should be able to publish within set time. 

And lastly, which is also one of the more important news that we want to share is that we are no longer publishing the game with Sekai Project on Steam. Everything will be run on our own. Nothing is changed really. There will be no delay on game release but we will still need approval from Steam before we could publish the game and provide Steam keys. 

Do expect an email from us for your codes if you've backed Sirius' route. Till then, these are the screenshots that we'll be putting up in stores. Enjoy!

2021 January Update

Happy New Year everyone! Hope you are doing fine!

Apologies for the late update as we were busy with completing year end work and celebrations. Good news is, we have completed debugging the game! Not so good news is, there is some tiny weeny bit of adjustments needed to be done to be a polished game. It’s really little! We were aiming to release it on Valentine’s Day but seems like it’s too near and it’ll take some time for Apple/Android to approve the app. So a more realistic timeline would be White Day! We will keep you updated once it’s up and running!

2020 October Update

Happy Halloween!  Hope you guys are doing well and dandy! Anyone going for trick or treating?

For this bimonthly update, we are on the slow with the debugging stage. Done with the typo side but still going through technical adjustments. Would say we are about 40% away from completing technical debugging in which we were hoping to have completed this month. On top of that, year end is a busy time for us in work life so things are moving slower than usual.

Thank you for those who sent us messages of encouragements! We will definitely be releasing this! Just that it’s a slow process so please be patient with us and meanwhile please look forward to our updates and progress! Cheers!

Hi, thank you for your message. Initially we had a full team to work on the project but the team quickly disperse and we had to scurry for new team mates. Some new ones left too and we had to find more new ones again. Passion also dwindled because of that. On top of that we have jobs and problems in our livelihood and had to put this side project on hold for a while. Now, we are continuing to progress to release and we are only left with debugging stage.

2020 August Update

Hi peeps!

The summer sun is not backing down in August! It’s sunny and hot everyday. Good for laundry but bad for the skin! I’ve gotten so much darker and pigmentation keeps popping up >< How have your summer/winter been so far? Covid situation here is getting worse. It has recently spiked up and now maintain on a constant 1000 new cases per day. It’s very worrying and we have not going out other than for necessities. Hope everyone is safe and sound.

Now for game update, we have received all test reports and going through them now. We are half way done debugging (yey!) and that’s the easy part, mostly grammar and text changes. The more challenging part would be the 2nd half that involves game technicalities, glitches and some aesthetic fixes. One important issue that we got from testing is that we all keep getting the same ending. The other ending is much more difficult to get. Another issue would be game saving structure, which relate to the issue above. So we are going to fix those. We will share more as we go along but hopefully there won’t be new complicated ones popping up as we fix them!

2020 June Update

Hello everyone!

It’s raining heavily nowadays and days are getting warmer. What are your plans for summer? And how’s the covid situation in your country? Here, it was good for a while and now it spiked up a bit so it’s quite worrying. I hope you are all doing fine and healthy.

In this bimonthly update, we have received feedback from our game testers. We are just missing one more which we are going to get in July. There are some glitches and changes to be made. Once they are done, we should be able to advice release date on our next update. Please look forward to it!

2020 April Update

Hi peeps!

With all my heart, I hope everyone is doing fine and healthy. With the world turned upside down since the last update, I’m not sure what to say except for hang in there! In Japan, we are now staying at home everyday, only to go out for groceries (heck, even that we do order online sometimes) and to breathe fresh air. We try to walk around the neighbourhood (with our masks on) just to take a breather (sounds weird right, with mask on) and to avoid cabin fever. I’m so glad that it’s spring now and we get to see flowers and greens, which to me make a whole lot of difference. It helps to feel less depressed.

As for update, with the situation now, everyone is busy handling their own lives than to focus on the game. So expect this stage to be a bit slow. That said, we have 6 game testers now testing the technicalities, aesthetics, typo etc. of the game. We hope in our next update, things will turn for the better and we will have a more definite progress towards the release of the game.

2020 February Update

Hi Peeps!

Happy new year and happy leap year! It’s such a privilege to be able to make an announcement on this day, sooooo here’s a happy announcement! We have finally finished production of Sirius’ route! And we are now in the testing and debugging stage. Yey us! You must be thinking finally right? Right, same here! So we have sent out the game to a few game testers on different platforms and waiting for testing results. After that we will work on changes and other areas of enhancements. It’ll take some time but we will keep you all updated again of course!

Ho ho ho! How has this winter been treating you? My perfect winter would be sitting by the fireplace covered in warm blankets with a smooth cup of hot chocolate. But I was busy moving places again(!) and have only recently settled down.

For game updates, we are wrapping up the programming part for romance branch soon and gonna start the remaining 3 chapters of destiny branch after that. We are also checking out SFX to put in the game and tidying up the other parts like game settings, gallery etc.

October Update

Hello everyone! And Happy Halloween!

In this update we are gonna show some progress on the programming side of things! We are now on chapter 7, which means half way more to go. These are still WIP and there are some tweaking to be done but I think it looks polished overall and inline with what we envisioned. BGM and SFX are turned off, otherwise, enjoy the videos!

August Update

Hi everyone! This update is to notify that we are alive!

Writing Writing is done up to Chapter 8A of Yoshino and remaining 2 more chapters and 3 more sub chapters to be completed. Chapter 1-8A are in proofreading stage now. Yoshino’s writing is to be completed by October.

Programming On this, our programmer has finally responded and has started working on Sirius’ part of the game. FYI, all contents for Sirius’s story is complete, we are only waiting for our programmer to be free up from his busy schedule to work on it. We will show some visuals of the game as soon as we have something concrete to present. As mentioned previously, our effort now is to continue with story writing while waiting for programming to be done. At present, we do not have a release date yet.
