One of those things is an interview with Sarah Saltzberg who plays Daisy!
OKAY, so I finally got around to watching the Wallflowers Season Two finale and I'm sitting here crying because of how fantastically directed that whole episode was. But the main triumph that I've always noticed about the show is how well it excels in the intimacy of two people having a conversation, regardless of the relationship that they have. It flows perfectly and makes you feel really close with the characters. Then on top of that the way that the show is filmed is just quite stunning and very moving. I am just astonished by Kieran's talent. I cannot wait for next season.
As our first interview, Kevin and I decided to interview Max Crumm, one of the brand new cast members on Wallflowers. If you like hearing about bad dates, dream roles, and Batman, this interview will be your cup of tea.
1 – How did you get involved the show?
Kieran Turner (the creator) saw me in an off Broadway show called F#%KING UP EVERYTHING! He approached me shortly afterwards and talked to me about being in the show.
2 – What is it like working on the show?
It felt like a cannon! Linus is a new character added to the second season, so it was fun to jump into their already created world and play with their brilliantly established characters.
3 – Was it hard to get into the character of Linus?
NO! I love playing super awkward guys. Haha!
4 – Do you have any similarities to Linus?
We are both terrible at going on dates.. other than that I don't really know. Maybe other than being super awkward? He is shy and scared by almost everything.
5 – Do you have any hopes for where your character will go in the show?
I just hope he continues to be silly and honest.
6 – What was it like going from a show like F.U.E to a film setting?
Theatre and film are two entirely different animals. i enjoy playing in both! The character I played in FUE, "Christian" is very similar to "Linus" so that was a fun/easy jump!
7 – What are some of your dream roles?
Seymour in "Little Shop!" Or the baker in "Into the Woods" (for when I'm older)
8 – You were recently seen up on stage in Disaster, it really looked like a blast! What was that like?
DISASTER! was a blast! If you had a blast watching it we had 10x the blast doing it! I have life long friends now from doing that show. i am honored to be a part of it.
9 – Now that filming is done, what do you do for fun?
I hang with my dog, my boyfriend and write! I am currently writing a musical with two of my oldest friends from Los Angeles!
10 – You’re character is a part of the support group for people who are bad at dating? Do you have any awkward dating stories?
Honestly, I am terrible at dating! I have no real awkward moments because I have a lack of experience dating. Truly, I have not gone on many dates.
11 - Since Linus is a comic book geek, do you have a favorite superhero?
BATMAN! BATMAN IS MY FAVORITE!
Max Crumm, star of the web series Wallflowers, answers seven questions about romance and dating.
So Lexi and I are going to be interviewing the Max Crumm soon!!! If you have any questions for him just ask us and we'll do our best to get it to him!!
What's truly great about Wallflowers is that it balances gay and straight storylines effortlessly, in the process portraying what our actual lives are like....
This is one of the things that makes this show so amazing and refreshing to me. It's so nice to see LGBT+ characters treated normally and not just as their sexuality.
Bryce, Daisy, Martin and Jane are four friends whose love lives aren't just unlucky, they're disastrous. But all that is about to change. With the help of support group guru Janice, they've vowed to turn things around. Even if it kills them. (x)
