A LOT of charries have been dropped, limited them down to six of my main favorites. Feel free to follow…or don’t.

Cole’s gaze drifted to the girl as she spoke from her perch at the top of the stairs. “Yeah…” He held up his phone, smiling wryly. “He just told me. In different terms, granted, but I got the point.” He tilted his head back slightly to get a better look at her before sliding his smartphone back in his jeans pocket. “Don’t really have much to do, since I did have plans with your brother.” He finally said, eyeing her. “You must be Evelyn.” Cole wasn’t unaffected by her beauty; she was striking in a way that got his attention. Striking in that intense, tantalising way. Though, as a friend, he probably shouldn’t be entertaining the thought of keeping company with his mate’s baby sister.
“He’s so whipped that it’s embarrassing.” Evelyn commented with a simple roll of her eyes as she leaned against the railing of the staircase. “I apologize on his behalf for being such a disappointment.” With a smile, she walked the rest of the way down the stairs, approaching Cole. “That’d be me, the one and only.” A charming smile found its way upon her face as she shamelessly looked over his brother’s best friends. “Pleasure to finally meet the infamous, Cole. My brother kept me away from you after all of this time and now I can see why.”
Waiting outside, a trench coat covering her attire, she’d started considering leaving, when the assistant came out and told her she was up. She just nodded at the woman, heels clicking as she walked inside. Pushing the door closed behind her, her gaze cut straight to the only other person in the room. “Do you always keep people waiting this long?” She snipped, walking up to put her music in the player. “Some of us have places to be - things to do… things that don’t include waiting for an audience with his majesty.”
As soon as the door opened and the brunette sauntered inside, her presence filled the room. Besides her sass, DJ immediately noticed the girls striking beauty and now he was beginning to understand what all the hype about her was about. Her comment had Dominic chuckling as he took a sip from his glass. “And yet, you’re still here. So clearly you don’t have anywhere of important to be, Princess.” He quipped in return, arching a dark eyebrow at the woman. “Ready whenever you are, darling.”
“You know what I-I look like in a bikini- you met m-me in one,” Cris replied, but followed her all the same. A chance to see the other blonde in a bathing suit again? He was on board before the thought even finished.
“True....” Isabelle agreed, not even trying to deny that point. “But it’s a sight I definitely don’t think I can ever get enough of.” She quickly added, far too eager about this shopping trip and to get the chance to see Cris in all of his beauty.
“How kind of you to open the door,” Slater gave a laugh, taking a bow for dramatic effect. “Nice to see you too, Si. What’s the matter? Not happy to see your favourite - hiccup - brother?”. Taking the last swig of his beer, Slater carelessly tossed the glass bottle into the hedges behind him. “C’mon, you’re always happy to see me. Even if it is two in the morning. I just figured you need a tuck in. At least I know I do. Don’t tell me you already fell asleep? Because I can’t sleep,”. An attempt to walk through the doors only made Slater trip over the rug, stumbling forward as he caught himself against the doorframe. “Fuck,” he blubbered, his vision hazy.
“You’re drunk, Slater.” Sienna muttered, frustrated even though she knew she shouldn’t be. It was her fault he was like this. It didn’t take a genius to know Slater was drinking his sorrows away. Ever since she had told she accepted Marcus’ proposal, it’d been downhill between them. “No I--.” Before she could get a word out, Slater was stumbling into the house. Closing the door, she quickly rushed to his aide, doing her best to hold up and still despite the massive size and height he had over her. “Alright, let’s get you sitting down and some water.” She stated before walking him towards the kitchen.
“Si..,”. Slater banged his closed fist against the door – the beautiful dark oak wooden doors that gated a mansion. One that was meant to impress others but surely didn’t impress Slater. He did, after all, grow up as a Holden. Why on earth Sienna would be here, choose to be here and want to live here with god damn Marcus was beyond him. Marcus was exactly the type they used to grow up saying wasn’t good enough for either of them. Then again, the only people they ever deemed worthy were themselves. “Sienna!” he banged again, his half-drunken self get agitated the longer he had to wait. To Slater, it only meant the longer his perfect twin sister was apart from him. “You can’t stay here. You can’t do the wedding. I’m taking you home – open. up. the. door,”.
The knocking on the door lulled Sienna out of the sleep she was in. At first, she was going to ignore it but it continued and only seemed to grow louder. Then she heard the voice, which made her heart skip a beat and suddenly Sienna was fully awake. Thankfully, Marcus was away on business because she knew that this was not going to end well. Wrapping a silk robe around her body, Sienna went downstairs and opened the door. The smell of alcohol was what hit her first and she scowled at her twin as a result of it. “Slate, what’re you doing here?! It’s two in the morning!”
It would have been impossible for Evie NOT to have noticed Dominic in the hall. Even if he’d by chance escaped her gaze, her friends had been quick to point out that he was with his friends at the end of the hall and that it looked like he may have been looking at her. Though she wanted to take the bait, she was proud of herself when she remained focused on changing her books out. She’d tried to talk to him, to let him know why it hurt her feelings that he was ashamed to acknowledge her in public, but he hadn’t gotten it. Whether he was still misinterpreting it as her wanting some exclusive relationship with him (which she did, but that had never been on the table and she KNEW that) or whether he simply just didn’t get why she was angry, she didn’t care anymore. She was done with him, and doing her best to focus on her studying so she could get her head back in the game. She hated that she’d ducked out of tutoring as of late, but she couldn’t put herself in a situation where he would just… get the better of her. She needed to respect herself more than that.
It was made clear that Evie was not going to be making the first move when she had stormed out of the boiler room not that long ago. It seemed for a moment that they we at a stand still or maybe it was just Dominic who was at one because Evie had yet to acknowledge his existence. Of course, her friends had noticed him and whispering to her but that wasn’t who he was paying attention to. Pushing himself off of the locker he’d been leaning against, Dominic stepped away from his crowd of friends and began to head over towards Evie’s locker. Approaching her, he could feel the glares and looks from her friends whose bad side he was obviously on. Clearing his throat, Dominic pushed some of his brown hair away from his face before speaking. “You mind if we...uh, go somewhere and talk?”
“And now it’s too late for you, I’m afraid. You’re stuck with me, Evelyn. I’m not letting go of you now.”
“I’m stuck with you? Oh God. Are you sure it’s not too late to back out now?”
What was she doing? As she closed the distance between the two of them, she reached up with tiny fingers to pull his face down to her own. There was nothing to say and no words to break the silence when her mouth pressed firmly to his own. Never had she just kissed him without being so fleeting. This kiss felt determined.
Connor was almost positive he shouldn’t have reacted the way he did when his face was pulled down and Lorelei’s lips were suddenly crashing upon his. The shock had him freezing and stiffening up almost immediately--completely caught off-guard by it. This was so out of character for the blonde that Connor wasn’t even sure how to proceed. Pulling away, his hands braced her shoulder and he looked down at the smaller woman in confusion. “Wait..what?”
While his roommate was gone, Tommy realized it was the first time in a long time that he had ever felt so alone. Growing up, someone always slept in the house, even after he moved out with only his mother. After she passed, he joined the Marine Corps. where he was surrounded by comrades and couldn’t get a moment of silence. Even in military prison, he wasn’t alone, not fully. Harley’s return startled him in a sense because he was sure she’d leave again. If he had been given notice, his bitterness wouldn’t be so distasteful. It was getting late, and so to evade problems, he settled for sleep. However, a couple of knocks ended his slumber. He had always been a light sleeper, and he had guessed it to be her. “Yeah?” he said, softly to the closed door. “You can open it.” Fortunately for the two of them, he had fallen asleep dressed for once.
Growing up as the only girl from a successful family made it easy for Harley to act spoiled and privileged. She often forgot just how her actions could affect those around because there were never any consequences. Usually, all it would take is a smile and a pout for her to literally get away with anything, that wouldnt’ exactly work with Tommy. Opening the door with his permission, the brunette timidly walked into his bedroom. “Hey...” She awkwardly stated, taking a seat the edge and the end of his bed. “I’m sorry.” This time, hopefully, it sounded more genuine then before. “I should’ve called or let you know I was leaving. I wasn’t thinking and that was wrong of me. Even though I deserve it, I don’t like you being mad at me.”
That was along the lines of the reaction she was looking for. Of course she would have to play it off as if she were hurt by what he said. ❝Why are you so rude today?❞ Her lips formed into a forced yet believable pout. Honestly she would be ecstatic if Calvin were a bit jealous. Hence why was blabbed out her date in the first place.
“How is me not being interested in your crappy taste and poor choice in men equal me being rude?” Calvin responded, answering with his own question instead. Was it jealousy? Nooo of course it wasn’t. Calvin just thought she could do better--way better. “You’re just mad cause I’m saying everything you don’t want to hear. You and I both know you deserve and can do way better than the assholes you keep going out with. So sorry that I’m running out of sympathy to give you over every bad date you have.”
Jake leaned into her hand and sighed, his pride got in the way sometimes. “I’m sorry Vanessa….i’m sorry….”
“It’s okay.” Vanessa hushed, reaching up to press a soft kiss to his temple. “I just worry about you, that’s all.” Feeling that she’s berated him enough about this for a night, she grabbed his hands and nodded for her to follow him. “Alright, I think you’ve had enough for one night. You need to rest and lay down.”
