it srsly pisses me off that literally nobody fucking acknowledges patrick stump’s adhd like as someone with adhd it’s so hard to persist and be successful in shit and patrick literally has to take medication for it but wasnt diagnosed until early 2013/late 2012 and was seriously depressed for years because he didnt know he had it and he has adult adhd which, if you look it up, symptoms include: sense of underachievement, dealing badly with frustration, being easily flustered and stressed out, irritability or mood swings, trouble staying motivated, hypersensitivity to criticism, short & often explosive temper, low self-esteem and sense of insecurity. i don’t even know the guy personally but i know he has every one of those symptoms, like he had crazy freak outs all the time before the hiatus that either resorted to him punching someone or throwing something at their head, he literally cannot take a goddamn compliment like he’ll downright call his work terrible before he’ll agree with someone that it’s good, he was super insecure for years and still is, if certain self-deprecating tweets are anything to go by - like, seriously. nobody talks abt it and it makes me so sad & kinda mad. he struggled with it for years and didn’t even know he had it until he was 28 years old and he’s still been a successful musician and i seriously look up to him for that.
