Almost There

Hi everybody. Near the end of 2019, I applied for, and was accepted to a Full Sail University. I found a program worth pursuing, and a career that I think I’ll enjoy. I’m supposed to start classes February 3rd. Two problems:

First, December and so far January has been slow as hell. And I’m not making as much money as I’d hoped to pay my bills. I’ll have financial aid to help keep me in food, rent, and phone coverage but I have to survive the first forty-five days of classes. 

Before I get to there, I have to get through January. In nine days, on January 14th, my car payment is due. At the moment, the school is seventy-two miles away. There’s no way I can commute there via bus or ride-share. If I lose it, I’m irrevocably boned. 

There’s also my phone bill, which I delayed to the end of January, and will be 146 dollars. 

So I’m asking for help. I truly believe going to school will give me a chance at not being in this situation again. Give me a chance at a stable job where I make enough and I can eventually pay forward the kindness I’ve been shown. 

But for today, I need help to make it to school. anything helps, be it donations or reblogs.

small observations from watching Endgame again

in chronological order:

  • Clint calls Lila Hawkeye (super cute)
  • Did Tony think he was seeing God? That’s what I thought too when I saw Brie Larson for the first time 
  • did Scott drag a hand cart of his belongings around SF and then just… leave it at the memorial? Did he go back for it??
  • Tony and Pepper have a little herb garden
  • Hulk is wearing a cardigan. Where did he get a huge cardigan? Did someone make that for him?
  • Tony has a framed photo of Howard sitting over the sink with Peter’s photo
  • Nat’s “everything is fine” smile during the time travel test was so fuckn funny
  • Tony backing up the Audi and winding down the window instead of just getting out because he is a Certified Brat
  • At some point during the last five years, Tony has repaired the scratch marks T’Challa put on the shield and presumably re-painted it (then put it in his garage bc he’s cute but he’s still a Brat)
  • Hulk and Rocket in the back of a pickup set to The Kinks made me want a whole buddies-road-trip montage with the two of them travelling to Norway to fetch Thor
  • Comic!Clint speaks Italian and ASL so at what point during the murder rampage did Clint learn Japanese? Did he take little Duolingo breaks between stabbing people?
  • the monitors confirm that they are canonically called ‘timesuits’ and that’s really funny to me
  • Tony and Nat lying on the table while Bruce lies on the ground and they all brainstorm is the Softest Science Scene Ever (Natasha is a Science Bro now)
  • Natasha’s last words to Steve are “see you in a minute” 
  • The Ancient One also has a little herb garden. Does everyone have a herb garden? Can now confirm Pepper Potts and Tony Stark have a better herb garden than the immortal Sorcerer Supreme
  • Natasha’s last words to Rhodey are “Take care, okay?”
  • “You can all stand around posing up a storm later” - 2012 Tony, like he wasn’t just gleefully taking part in said posing (BRAT)
  • Clint pours two drinks and only two drinks despite there being plenty of glasses for everyone (rude. cute.)
  • IDK how I thought they got Loki out of the tower but the scene of the team walking him through the lobby made me hiccup with laughter
  • Thor breaking down and saying “I’m totally from the future” = also hiccup laughter but with a tinge of wanting to hug Thor until he’s okay
  • Scott saying “What, are you bored of the time heist? You RUINED the time heist” was an absolutely 10/10 delivery from Paul Rudd
  • “Thanks for the pep talk, pissant” iconic
  • Jarvis’s sideburns and floppy hair are helpful only to anyone who still wasn’t sure exactly what year they were in
  • Did Red Skull just… float there while Clint paced and yelled stuff at him? Absurdly funny to me. Don’t wanna talk about the rest of the scene.
  • The facility has a little lake pontoon. I know they’re using it for Grieving Purposes right now, but I have to know if the team goes swimming off it. What else could it be for aside from Grief and Swimming???
  • “You’re a very earthly being, and we’re talking about space magic” amazing
  • Nebula’s USB fingers are cool and I wouldn’t even be mad if my dad did that to me
  • Rhodey saves Rocket without the use of his legs he is a fucking BEAST and I LOVE him
  • Clint Barton saying “ow” after a building falls on him is the most Hawkeye thing ever
  • Tony kicks Steve awake and says “that’s my man” you’re welcome Stony shippers
  • Nice of the magic lightning to do a cute lil braid in Thor’s beard
  • Thor uses Stormbreaker to bat Mjolnir at Thanos like it’s a baseball 
  • Steve (!) also plays a hammer/shield version of baseball
  • Pepper looks so pissed at Tony wow that is an ‘I can’t believe you have set ANOTHER one of our properties on fire’ face
  • Wong’s “what, you wanted more?” had me cackling
  • Nebula had obviously already told past Gamora about Quill, and yet past Gamora chose to knee him in the nads anyway. Nice, past Gamora. 
  • “Nice to meet yoOH MY GOD” Peter, precious baby
  • Tony sitting backwards on the chair in the recording is so reminiscent of Steve’s detention PSA I’m 99% sure he did it on purpose just to make one more joke at Steve’s expense 
  • I’m not sure but I think I saw Lila wearing a spider pin at the funeral
  • Valkyrie’s wearing a puffer vest and I’m in lesbians with her
  • “There shall be no knifing each other, everyone knows who’s in charge” thank you so much, whoever is responsible for that line
  • Bucky clearly knew the plan, and has already said goodbye to Steve
  • Peggy’s front door is open, meaning he walked in and surprised her, and they started dancing soon enough afterwards that neither of them remembered to close the door
  • In conclusion, help me

1. @staff made a post pretty much saying “Your stuff isn’t getting deleted, just hidden from everyone but you” and “Yeah we know you hate the term “female presenting nipples” but we ain’t gonna stop saying it” 2. If a blog has a pixelated icon that means they got hit by the ban, you cannot view that blog outside the sidebar. You cannot even view their archive. Allegedly if you follow the advice in this post it’ll be fixed but only if it was an accidental flag (aka a real sfw blog) 3. The post Staff made including examples of what was ok to post. It got flagged. 4. Yes, the bots are still here. Yes they are still stealing posts and putting porn links on them. Yes there are still ads with stuff more sexual than they allow in posts. Yes innocent things are still getting flagged. 5. So yes, the site is still here and staff are still morons.

Please remember

Tomorrow, a lot of bloggers will be offline. I will be one of them. This is in protest of tumblrs new policy and the affect it has had on users and creators.

The goal is to make noise around tumblr. Twitter, Facebook, pillowfort, mastodon, MySpace, and any other social media you use. Speak up there. Speak about what your protesting, tag the staff and website pages on those sites so they know how the user base feels and what we think.

You are under no obligation to participate in this protest

No one can make you log out or close the website and app. It’s your choice, and you do not have to explain it to anyone.

Logging off does not mean the blogger will never be back

For some, this is the moment they move to a new platform, but not all. A lot of bloggers will return, I will be coming back to the site after all is said and done, because this is the place I feel most accepted and welcome. This is the place I love and where I’ve truly found a loving and supportive community of friends. Through this site I’ve found my family, and I’m not leaving that behind.

The log off will not cause staff to delete the site

That’s been circulating a lot, but please know it isn’t true. It will cause a drop in ad revenue and productivity for the site. It will show that we’re serious. It will make them pay attention, but one day of low usage will not cause them to delete the site. Do not let people convince you that it will be.

Stay strong younglings. We can make a statement together, we can make changes if we are unified, we are more powerful than we believe
