Hello, it's me.

Go to my Twitter @Olovia; I'm currently rearranging my website and all that so the most you'll get from me online is complaints about Neko Atsume.

Here we are again, and I am not good at scheduling these posts, guys, I keep forgetting that I’m supposed to be sticking to a weekly schedule. But anyways, let me show you the Vol. 1 cover Hailey recolored!

The books should be here by next Thursday! (I really really hope they get here next Thursday; we’re going to be at MeCAF in Portland, Maine next Saturday, June 4th, and I think I might have like two copies of the second printing of Vol. 1 sitting around somewhere but that’s it, haha.)

Ben and I were at TCAF last weekend! We met a lot of neat people and sold out of Vol. 1 (again), so it looks like it’s time for a reprint. Hailey Thurrott, who started coloring Gorgon during Vol. 2 and is sticking with us for the rest of the project, is recoloring the Vol. 1 cover for the reprint as we speak! She’s amazing and I love her and you all should too.

Here’s that second four-page ‘chapter’. It’s kind of funny that I did all the early stuff in the same big brush pen.

Here it comes, we’re finally putting Gorgon up online! I’m not even going to fix my old weird drawings for you guys. - Olivia

November 2014

We’re going to be posting Good Morning, Gorgon! as a webcomic, starting today. The first few four-page ‘chapters’ are gonna come in chunks, because we’ve got some catching up to do.

It’s weird looking at early Gorgon..

We are so thrilled to debut the gorgeous cover of Boundless, illustrated by the incredibly talented Victoria Robado! Our Kickstarter debuts in just TEN DAYS! Stay tuned for more information.

Hey Tumblr it’s been a while; I’m bad at keeping up with more than one social media platform at a time and I regret to inform you that I’ve been spending my days in bed with Twitter. Anyways, here is the latest anthology I’m editing! It’s four thirty in the morning and I just finished putting together our Kickstarter video.

More on this (news anchor pause) when we return.

This week’s Month of Love challenge is ‘Heroes’; I notice a lot of people drew literary heroes, and there are some real people, some mythological, but of course my mind goes to comics first.  Though she’s more commonly recognized as a villain, here’s Harley Quinn, one of the great loves of my life.

I read some criticism recently of Harley’s New 52 rebooted origin story - how this latest version of her did not become this way by choice, that her new origin strips her of her agency - but this is precisely why I relate to her so deeply, and why she’s top of the list of my most beloved Big Two characters.  She’s a survivor.  Harleen Quinzel lost herself in a toxic relationship that haunts her to this day, and built herself back up with everything she had.  She’s chaotic and violent, but can also be sweet and caring.  She’s a problem-solver and a good friend.  She does what she wants.

None of us have complete control over our lives, that’s just not how the world works.  It’s what you do with what you’re dealt that makes you a hero.

I did hourlies on Monday!  And forgot to post them to Tumblr.  Sorry Tumblr, I’m a Twitter girl now.

Merry Christmas!  Once again, Ben and I gift you with one measly page of a holiday-themed chapter from Gorgon Vol. 3.  One day your need for finished storylines will be fulfilled; that day is not today.

(Oh man, I can’t believe we haven’t even shown you any new characters yet.  There are new characters all over the third arc but for some reason none of them make it to the first page of the chapter!)

Last night I was out until way too late, so I didn’t have time to draw my foods!  These are for Friday, Eat Week day four!  Everything was kind of beige that day, I guess.  (I also had a tarte tatin that I forgot to take a picture of / plus the restaurant was super dark and honestly I couldn’t really make out the thing as more than a vague blob of baked fruit, but anyways that was pretty beige too.)

Eat Week day three!  Today I learned that croissants are hard to draw, and that more often than not, I will substitute a ‘real meal’ with a bakery item whose purchase allows me to sit in a cafe for an extended period of time.  (It was the midtown Barnes and Noble cafe, the cookie was delicious enough for me to want to call it by its ridiculous full name, and I forgot that I was supposed to draw it until I was down to two bites.)

It’s Eat Week!  That means I have decided to draw everything I eat this week.  Pretty self-explanatory, really.

Guess what’s happening on Gorgsgiving??  (If your guess is ‘impending bad pun’, you’d be guessing correctly.  First person to guess what the impending bad pun will be gets..probably nothing, because it’s like right there, it’s totally obvious, Trent and Travis aren’t exactly the cleverest snakes on this plane.)

First page of Gorgon Vol. 3 chapter two; written by Ben, who is currently under attack by a wild flock of Cape Cod turkeys, and drawn by me, who totally didn’t tell them to do that just now using long distance bird telepathy.

Re-posting some Gorgon-ey goodness, to remind y'all that we have Yet Another Thing coming down the pipes…

It now occurs to me that I never posted the cover of the second print run of Good Morning, Gorgon! #1.  Here it is!  Hand belongs to Ben.
