How did people first figure out that it was cicadas that make this noise? I could see that taking a long time. Were there just like a thousand years where people were like “yeah, the trees are screaming. They do that in the summer.”

My skin is breaking out everywhere while I just got my self esteem back up and now it just plummeted, I don't want to leave my house and I want to stop eating since it helped before, I've been dealing with anxiety and depression for awhile and I can't find anyways to help me I just want help

darling you have to keep eating. I know it might seem like it helps at first, but not eating will drain the natural colour from your skin and make you look tired.

• rinse your skin often. be gentle and remember that water is your friend.

• stress is a major cause for breakouts. explore relaxing activities such as meditating, yoga, or painting. sometimes we just have to focus on our own happiness for a while.

• chill on the treatments. I work for a vegan health and wellness company and trust me when I say overusing products will dry out your skin, causing it to produce more oil. natural remedies are very effective and much less expensive.

• baking soda masks or spot treatments work wonders on the skin. it’s also an exfoliator, and helps reduce inflammation. just take baking soda and a bit of water to form a paste, and apply it to your skin. when you first try this, leave it on for 5-15 minutes. you can gradually leave it on longer for better results. this also helps with scars.

• avoid using products containing mineral oil. it just clogs your pores and does nothing beneficial for your skin.

• coconut oil and tea tree oil are both antibacterial and can be used as acne fighting moisturizers.

• greasy and spicy foods can throw off your pH levels causing breakouts. refined sugar, and dairy have also been known to cause breakouts. keep track of the foods you eat. get more avocados, coconut oil, green tea, dark berries, and leafy vegetables into your diet.

• stop touching your face and definitely don’t touch problem areas. our hands carry a lot of bacteria and oils, and when we mess with problem areas we just end up spreading the bacteria deeper and all over our skin. I used to tell myself “STOP” whenever I caught myself anxiously touching my face.

breakouts are very common. you’re still beautiful.💘

So I don't have any self confidence and it's mainly to do with my skin because it's quite problematic. I can't even look at myself in the mirror without wanting to cry because of how I look. I don't like talking about it with other people because it makes me uncomfortable. Sometimes it gets so bad that I feel like I'm worthless and I don't know what I can do to build my confidence up. I was wondering if you have any advice on how to feel more content with myself?

hey cutie !! it’s very common to feel insecure with problematic skin, but you can definitely rebuild confidence and feel more secure with yourself regardless of how your skin looks.

• start your day with positive affirmations such as “I love and accept myself”, “I am happy with my appearance, I am beautiful”. practice saying these to yourself in front of a mirror every day. it can be hard to feel to focus on the good, but allowing negativity to stay with us will not help us feel any better. do this a few times daily and you’ll see your confidence slowly grow.

• try not to worry too much over any problematic days. I promise it’s not nearly of a big deal as you think it is. people likely do not judge us as harsh as we judge ourselves.

• bring attention to other amazing features you have such as your lips, eyebrows, hair, nails, etc. maybe wear a cute accessory such as a hat or a body chain. you don’t have to be super done up to look beautiful. there is so much class and beauty in simplicity.

• avoid judging others. it reinforces the negative voice inside our own heads and it’s just not nice. being a compassionate and understanding person is 100000 times more beautiful and valuable than having perfect skin.

• be prepared. it’s bound to happen eventually- someone might make a rude or ignorant comment. sometimes those people are in our circle of friends.. consider cutting them loose. you deserve to be surrounded by people who support you and make you feel good about yourself.

• if you wear makeup, do your best to avoid caking on makeup to hide blemishes because it slows the healing process. always take your makeup off every night, and make sure your brushes and tools are clean after every use. you can also check out this post I answered with tips to keep your skin healthy.

know that you’re definitely not alone, and you’re always beautiful. stay strong. 💖

1. WHITE COMFY BOOTS These are amazing, they are super comfy, but I should start taking my head out of my ass, because they’re a tad too small ): Worn, but still in PERFECT condition! Size 37 fits best €20 or start bidding you guys!

2. Demonia Slush 249 Size 37/37,5 fits best These are amazing, I love them and I wish I could keep them! But I recently felt that they’re just a bit too small for my right foot (damn you, right foot). I also just don’t really wear heels enough, I haven’t worn these often either, they’re almost in brand new condition! The only thing noticable is the leather looks a bit worn on the inside-flap, but you don’t even see that since it’s the inside-flap. Many different sized calves should fit these, are they are completely adjustable all way around €50

3. Cute dragon skin (fake! No dragons are harmed) creeper-like platform shoes, size 38  Never worn! I prefer larger platforms~ €15

4. Platform heels Size 37/38 Really comfy, really pretty, only worn a few times inside! I just suck at wearing heels and am afraid to fall over, eventhough they’re honestly comfortable. That’s why I don’t wear them enough and they deserve more love, you see :( But still sad to get rid of these..! In brand new condition, besides a few dull patches on the inside of the platform. €50
