Kurt sat in his cage, wearing the old, torn up hand-me-down pink dress that stopped at his thighs that he got from one of the female clowns at the circus he lived at. The ringmaster had gotten tired of not being able to bring in as many audience members as he had before giving Kurt an act, so since Kurt was considered circus property he was selling him to the highest bidder. Kurt didn’t like the idea of being sold to a stranger, who might hurt him, but he didn’t say a word. He was afraid of the ringmaster, always had been. His eyes widened as he heard the ring master shout, “SOLD!” He could only hope the person who bought him was nice to him, unlike the ringmaster had been
The black cloaked woman smiled and stood up. One could only make out her lips which formed into a smile as strands of black and white hair peeked out under her hood. After winning the bid, she got up to pay the Ringmaster for her prize.
Kurt whimpered softly as she came closer to his cage, scared and backing himself into the corner
The woman wheels the cage from the Auction Tent and onto a Caravan of another Circus that was about ready to leave. Once the caged creature was onboard, the Caravan was off. The woman looked at the creature. “Do not worry. You’re safe now. Do you want me to let you out?”
He whimpered again, holding the prayer beads he’d made a few years earlier close to his chest, his yellow eyes full of fear and nervousness
The woman takes the key to the cage the Ringmaster had given her and unlocks the cage opening the door. “Come on it’s alright.”
