Anything with the word “museum” in it sounded to Steele like it was more boring than boiled eggs, but anything that involved his ‘Cuddles’ he was down for so he figured why not ? He continued to make his way through the pizza, slice by slice, also offering Charlie more each time he picked one up. The other was pretty quiet against him and that was something Steele really loved about Charlie - that he was quiet. It sounds strange but Steele felt so bombarded by language and people and communication all the time that he relished the comfortable silences they shared. They could honestly spend an entire afternoon together barely saying a word to one another but still know exactly how the other was feeling. When he finished his final slice, downing it with the last gulp of his soda, Steele let out an incredible belch with a chuckle at the end, shaking his head at himself, “I should take a shower,” he murmured, pulling Charlie back against his side nonetheless, “I probably smell gross.”
Even though the two of them seemed to be so entirely different, Charlie felt like they were a perfect match. Steele was okay with his very quiet nature and the petite boy admired that about him. Most people were annoyed by his stutter and his less communicative ways, but Steele wasn’t. This was one of the many reasons they were still together. Charlie only ate about a third the amount Steele did, but he was satisfied nonetheless. He smiled at him once they were both done, finishing off the rest of his soda before letting the older male pull him closer, head resting against his shoulder. “Y-You smell okay.”, he shrugged, looking up at him. “B-But you could go shower a-and I’ll go clean up.”, he suggested. ”Already showered.”
