you know what I want? a post-apocalypse farm game.

you’re a wanderer who happens upon a farm. it’s overgrown and decayed, looks like it’s been abandoned for some time. but as you investigate you meet the old man who lives there. he’s been living on this farm for years but as his health has decayed he’s been increasingly unable to take care of it. he sees you are interested and asks if you would like to take it over. you, of course, say yes.

the old man gives you the tutorials, shows you around, introduces you to the traveling trader who sometimes comes by. not long after you have settled in he passes away, at peace now that he knows his beloved farm is being looked after. 

you do your normal farm game things: clean up the land bit by bit, grow some crops from the last of the old man’s seeds, repair the buildings. you scavenge the land around for old world artifacts that can be broken down for supplies and resources to upgrade your farm. the trader comes by, and as you trade with him more and more, he spreads word and other traders come too, offering greater variety. 

other people come too, slowly, attracted by news of your farm or just passing by. they bring valuable skills, but they have requirements to meet if you want them to stay. slowly the nearby town, long since deserted, fills up again. you help the new residents clean it up, repair the abandoned homes, plant flowers along the cracked old streets. 

there’s no fighting, no violence save maybe a bit of subsistence hunting. just a quiet game about life and community regrowing from the ashes. 

Or a good book. With a bit of mystery and interesting characters and relationships I’d totally give this one a go!

Some of you may have heard about the UK Cat Killer, some sick fuck who has killed and mutilated over 300 cats and other animals such as pet rabbits and wild foxes over the past 3-4 years.

Recently there have been an influx of more killings especially around the South Eastern area, including Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex, Berkshire, etc, where the animals have been mutilated and either returned to their owner or left on footpaths and sidewalks where kids regularly walk to school. School children have been finding theses horribly mutilated animals. Most recently, however, on Monday a lady’s cat was found beheaded and splayed out in a star shape beneath her bedroom window in the morning about 2 minutes away from where I live, my mum works at a vets and was visited by Scotland yard police who advised everyone who lives in the area to keep their pets in at all times if possible. Especially at night.

So, since Tumblr is so American-centric, I thought I’d write a little PSA telling people who live in the UK to please keep your pets in at night, and if possible, during the day.

If you mean “because I’m straight”, as I said, there are straight women who play female routes, just like there are women who have zero interest in men who play male routes. Hell, I’m about as romantically or sexually interested in men as sticking a fork in a socket, yet I not only read a lot of male routes, but I write more m/f fiction than I do f/f. Sexuality isn’t a prerequisite for who you read.

If none of the women or nb interest you, then that’s fine, not all the women interest me and definitely a lot of the men don’t, but to imply that you must be a lesbian to be interesting in reading a wlw story ignores the not-insignificant part of the fandom (especially the ones on Tumblr) that aren’t but enjoys it all the same and it insinuates those routes are lesser than their male counterparts because they cant have the same appeal as a m/f relationship across sexualities.

If people want to read a route of someone they're not attracted to - cool, so if they don't then that's their prerogative? Some gay people on this site, I stg.

You guys know I hate making these posts. You know I hate being vulnerable and asking for help and that I feel terrible when I do, and yet here I am asking for help again.

Last week, someone stole my banking information. At first, I shrugged it off and thought it was just my mom using my card again. At this point, I was already -$20 which was no big deal because I had the money to cover it. But then the thief took out two ATM debits through some fake website totalling $187. I’ve already had my card cancelled so they can’t do anymore damage, but they’re continuing to do damage.

I’ve racked up over $200 in overdraft fees from them that I cannot get removed. The bank is giving me a hard time about getting the charges refunded as well.

Mom and I haven’t been eating much. All of our food has gone towards trying to fees our dogs. All of my tips have gone to gas money. We’ve been relying on family for food. We got lucky and our neighbor gave us some leftovers despite her not knowing our situation.

I get paid this week, but I hardly worked these past 2 weeks. A good chunk of my check will be going to covering the fees. I need some help.

If you are able to help me cover some fees, I would appreciate it. I wish I had something to offer but I have too much art to do as is that I have no way of doing.

They view women exclusively as sexual possessions and the idea that a woman is capable of turning them down infuriates them because they think they are entitled to women’s bodies on the pure basis of being men.

One fucking guy interviewed said he has been rejected by over one thousand women, and it’s like…. buddy have you considered that it’s YOU that is the reason women are rejecting you?

Maybe if you didn’t treat them like they owe you sex because you said “hello” someone would give you the time of day. Maybe if you didn’t use the term “incel” women wouldn’t despise you. Maybe if you didn’t enter into every single conversation with a woman viewing her a nothing more than a thing to fuck they would be more open to getting to know you?

It’s not women who are the problem, it’s your view of women that is the problem.

some of the most horrifyingly misogynistic shit i have ever had the misfortune to read came from incels, especially their community on reddit. it’s so so so so so scary. they hate women. hate them. and they do not by any standards respect them, or even see them as human. and they blame their own evil on women, instead of realizing that maybe the broken pieces are within themselves and not the people they target and dehumanize.
