294 days. One of the last things that I did when we left San Francisco was bring in the #solargraph #pinhole camera that had been attached to the front of our house. I've got a few days to sort out where the best place will to attach the camera outside on the Winter Solstice.

Hard to believe it's been a year since Chieka went to that great big dog poker table in the sky. I can still remember heading out to the airport in Montreal to pick up the puppy I was adopting sight unseen from Moncton NB. At nine months old, she wasn't fitting in well to a household with two cats and small children in diapers. It took awhile for her to work through some of her separation anxiety issues, but we bonded and we travelled together through life for sixteen years. I still miss her very much and it's unlikely that will change soon. "It's true, everything that makes you happy is going to end at some point, and nothing good ends well. It’s like, if you buy a puppy, you’re bringing it home to your family's saying, hey, look, everyone, we're all gonna cry soon. Look at what I brought home. I brought home us crying in a few years. Here we go. Countdown to sorrow with a puppy." Louis C.K.

@xoazuree (thank you!!!) was kind enough to send me one of the Anthropologie rabbit vases. It's temporarily greeting people at the front door with small branches that have come down in the crazy wind. #milkbarn

The great thing about having tattoos is that I feel very comfortable asking other people if I can photograph theirs. Meet Erin. (at The High Line Park)
