Phoebe & Trevor Headcanons

Here are some of my miscellaneous thoughts about the Spengler siblings! These are revised and reposted from my old RP blog.

Trevor:

  • Their dad bought him a guitar for his 6th birthday and promised to teach him how to play, but never followed through with it. Trevor had to teach himself via YouTube tutorials. when Phoebe started showing interest in playing the guitar, he saved up to buy her one of her own.
  • Trevor wants to start a band, but could never convince his friends at his old school to join him. For now he’s happy to play with his sister, even if she’s too shy to play in front of an audience. He’s OK at singing, but his voice is kind of raspy.
  • His favorite genres of music are grunge rock, garage rock, and alternative.
  • His favorite game genres are racing & party games. He's also a big fan of GTA.
  • Both he and his sister are on the autism spectrum, but he was never diagnosed. He tries harder to hide his “weird” traits, whether consciously or not. His special interests are cars and music.
  • He doesn’t really have the attention span to read long books, but he does enjoy magazines and comics.
  • His favorite film genres are action and suspense (preferably with good chase sequences). He doesn’t like horror movies but he’ll watch one if a cute girl wants to go to the movies with him? Maybe?
  • He struggles with math and science, and is a bit jealous that his younger sister handles these subjects so easily.
  • One time he convinced Phoebe to dress up as the Blues Brothers with him for Halloween, but nobody in their home town knew who they were supposed to be.

Phoebe:

  • Since they can’t afford new video games, they have a lot of old hand-me-down consoles and games from older friends and relatives. Phoebe acquires Ray's NES at some point, or what's left of it. (It still smells like mood slime)
  • Phoebe’s favorite game genres are puzzle, point-and-click, and strategy.
  • Her main special interest is physics. She also has an aptitude for engineering.
  • You might think that she likes classical music because she’s so nerdy but in reality… She likes heavy metal. (Over-stimulation calms her!)
  • Her favorite movie genre are sci-fi action adventure and scientific documentaries. She's watched some movies enough times to have scenes memorized and can quote them word for word.
  • She likes to read sci-fi novels, comics, and joke books.
  • Phoebe is surprisingly good at technical drawing for her age, but terrible at anything else. She can barely draw a stick figure.
  • She’s way better at singing than her brother but is extremely shy about it.
  • Phoebe is very sensitive and particular about the clothes she wears. While her brother dresses to look “cool” she’s more concerned with comfort and practicality, hence the overalls.
  • She likes to stim with toys, and tools. She can solve a Rubik's cube in under five minutes.
  • She has a hard time making friends due to her awkwardness. She wishes she had Trevor’s social skills. Podcast is the first real friend she makes.

Kate Mckinnon did exactly the same to the girls in Barbie, like she did in Ghostbusters

This woman is determined to awaken something in all of us.

fortunately, ghostbusters; afterlife and ghostbusters; frozen empire are the best remakes of an intellectual property ever.

you cannot argue against me on this one. ghostbusters itself is already campy and cheesy and fucking great, obviously. it’s the perfect series for a 40 yrs later sequel.

it has the perfect amount of fan service (which i eat up every time), classic moments that i adore (oh no! i can’t hold the proton pack straight; the whole team has to grab on and help me!), and random new world lore just for the sake of lore (well the god wants to end humanity because he wants to)

plus they gave mckenna grace a lesbian ghost lover, what’s not to love

“I’ll see you in the fabric of the universe.” Is such a gay way to say I love you. Like. Melody’s last words were basically I’ll wait for you to join me in the stars. LIKEEEEE

Chapter 7-40 (end of chapter 7)

This is the final update of chapter 7 and volume 5!

The comic will now be going on hiatus for a while! I’m not sure exactly how long the hiatus will last, but it will be at least several months, most likely at least 6 months. I’ll be taking a break from work for a few weeks, and then I need to start planning and writing the next chapter, and then eventually I will be able to start drawing again.

Thank you so much for all your support for Heartstopper this year! I am so so grateful to everyone who has shared love for this story.

I’ll be back one last time before the end of the year with the Heartstopper Q&A 2023. And I'll hopefully pop in during the hiatus with a new mini-comic or two. See you then!

Read on Tapas / Read on Webtoon
More info/buy the books: https://aliceoseman.com/
Heartstopper updates three times a month, on the 1st, 11th, and 21st at 11am UK time.

Oh my! I suppose technically he isn't wearing anything but a scarf, but there's feathers to keep him decently covered!
