For Rumbelle Newlyweds Challenge, day 28 (sorry so late! and not complete!)

Rating: Explicit - NSFW, BDSM and dom/sub themes

Prompt: Household chores

Summary/AN: Rumplestiltskin has stopped by the Storybrooke Public Library to collect on the debts of one not-so-innocent librarian. Vicious plot bunnies turned this from an innocent drabble into a bit of a kink-fest. I am presenting to you Part 1 - The Cane of Feels, I’m not willing to give away exactly what this has to do with household chores, but I’m sure you have a guess and all will be revealed in the second part…PROMISE!

Services Rendered, Part 1 - The Cane of Feels

Belle sat at the circulation desk of Storybrooke Public Library, humming quietly to herself. She was checking in the previous day’s returns and enjoying the early morning sanctity of her library. The library wouldn’t open until ten, but this was her favorite time of day to be in the library. When it was just her and the place was still quiet and smelling of aged paper and dust and the glues used for bookbinding. Once the people came in, the spell was broken. People smelled of cologne, of coffee, pastrami sandwiches and worse. But books…books when left to their own, smelled of knowledge and adventure and a whole wide world that opened wider with every page.

She never heard the entry bell, and she was certain the door was still locked. But she suddenly sensed that someone was behind her. “We’re not open yet,” she chirped without turning, “we’ll be open at 10.”

The presence moved closer and Belle froze, anxiety and adrenaline coursed through her veins, it radiated power. Then Belle smelled his scent, spicy and earthy, not of cologne, but him. It was like the rich loam of the deep forest after rain. She breathed it in. Magic. Gooseflesh rippled across her skin. It wasn’t like him to simply drop by. Why was he here?

She felt his hot breath ghost across her ear, “Hello, dearie.” Shivers ran down Belle’s spine, this was no idle visit. His voice was deep and sultry, with an edge of dark mystery, “You weren’t expecting me, were you?”

Belle shook her head, saying nothing. Waiting. Her chest heaving as anticipation made her limbs tingle and the air feel too thin.

“I’ve come to collect on your debts,” he purred in her ear, “are you prepared to make a payment, my lady?”

“Here? Now?” Panic rose in her breast. She could scarcely breathe. The room suddenly too small, too cramped. But she felt moisture pool unbidden between her thighs as he ran one long, elegant finger down the side of her throat, from her ear to her collarbone.

“You understood the price of our deal, did you not?” Rumplestiltskin inquired. His voice a silken cord that wrapped around her very core and pulled tight somewhere just below her belly button. “That I could demand payment at any time?”

My entry for mrandmrsgoldfic challenge.

Can’t you see Rumple changing the name of the shop, the sign and then making an ad and putting it in the Storybrooke Mirror? He doesn’t even put any information down because he doesn’t care about people coming to the shop, he just wants people to know Belle married him!

Hey, everyone! So I’ve written this fluffy little one-shot for the Rumbelle Newlyweds Challenge on Tumblr, and I’m actually not until Day 26 (which is June 12), but I’m actually going to be out of the country on a mission trip until June 14 and won’t have any access to Internet. That, and I told the readers of my multi-chap fic (which you can go read if ya haven’t yet by going to my page- yay shameless self promo) that I would try to have another update up before I left. Alas, I failed, so I figured I would post this on here ahead of time and then set it to post on Tumblr on the 12th. But anyway, Poison and Wine readers, I will write you an update or two on the plane ride. (:

So here! Have some fluff!

Disclaimer: I don’t own Rumbelle or anything from OUAT. Or a cat. Or anything of value.

A New Way to Travel - Rumbelle Newlyweds Day 27

Summary: Rumple and Belle go on a special kind of honeymoon trip.

Rating: PG…Pretty safe for the kiddies.

A/N: Written for the Rumbelle Newlyweds Celebration. No beta so all the suckiness is mine. Hopefully I’m not repeating something that’s been done. I haven’t had a chance to go through all the entries, but I know at least one of them was similar to another idea I had, so you never know. Sorry for being a tiny bit late! :)

———

The sunlight streamed in through the windows of the kitchen. Mr. Gold’s large pink house was beautiful this time of day. It was a bright afternoon, and Rumplestiltskin was waiting for his new wife to arrive so that they could have tea together. She had been running some errands this Saturday morning, which suspiciously sounded like helping Ruby Lucas shop for clothing. Apparently, she had a big date that evening. Belle seemed to be as excited as her friend. She gave him an affectionate goodbye kiss, and an infectious smile, as she rushed out the door.

Beloved Son - Rumbelle Newlyweds Challenge - Day 21

Summary & Author’s Notes: Rumple and Belle visit Neal’s grave. Rated E for Everyone. Word Count: 810  And I’m sorry I was a day late.

Also: Angst Ahoy!

Rumple came home from his shop to find Belle already there, sitting in what had become “her” armchair, reading. Sitting on the coffee table in front of her was a beautiful floral arrangement of crimson roses, sunflowers, and some orange and yellow flowers that looked like daisies but weren’t. Belle looked up from her book as Rumple came in the front door.

She breathed in deeply, trying to steady her nerves. What she had planned for this evening wasn’t going to be fun, but it was important, and she felt bad that she’d helped him put it off this long. Belle knew from experience that the longer you waited, the harder it became. She closed her book.

“Who sent the flowers?”

“No one sent them, Rumple. I stopped by my father’s flower shop on my way home from the library, and he helped me put the arrangement together.”

“It’s quite spectacular.” Rumple stared at the flowers. “I didn’t forget an anniversary or something, did I? We’ve only been married a few weeks.”

“It’s for Neal,” Belle said. “To take to his grave. I know you haven’t been yet, and I was thinking I should go with you. “

Rumple sat down slowly. He looked at Belle, and though he knew she’d already see him cry, Rumple wasn’t sure he wanted her to keep having to take care of him. He was supposed to be the one protecting her. “I think maybe I should go alone. These—the flowers are beautiful, but I don’t know that you really want to go with me. I don’t know if I’m ready.”

“I know I don’t talk about it much, Rumple, but when my mother died…” here Belle trailed off, uncertain of how to complete her thought. “It’s easier if you don’t go alone the first time. I want to be there for you. We can stay for as long or as little as you want.”

Rumple stared at the bright flowers in the ceramic vase; he’d heard her, but he didn’t want to agree yet. He knew Bae…Neal was gone, but he was still clinging to the final glimpse of him, caught as Zelena marched him off, leaving Emma crying over Neal’s unmoving body. Rumple knew Neal was gone, gone completely, sucked into the ground, but this time, it wasn’t due to a magic bean, and there was no hope of finding him in another realm. Neal was out of reach. Rumple didn’t even know what they’d put on his gravestone.

Belle stood up from her spot in the armchair and stepped over to the arrangement on the coffee table. “Each of the flowers have a meaning—crimson roses are for mourning, helenium—those are the yellow and orange ones—represent tears. But the sunflowers,” she pointed out with a woebegone smile, “are for pride and appreciation. I know you’re proud of the man your son became. Everyone appreciates the sacrifice he made for us. And he was proud of the man you have become.”

“I could never have become better without the both of you, Belle,” Rumple replied. The sight of the flowers had begun to blur as tears welled up in his eyes. “You’re more than I could ever deserve.”

“Don’t say that,” Belle chided him. “I love you, and you deserve to be loved. Always.”

*****

A little while later, Rumple stopped his car at the entrance to the cemetery. He opened the door for Belle, who stepped out carrying the floral arrangement. Dusk was falling and the cemetery would close soon, but no one in their right mind would really try to stop the Dark One from visiting his son’s grave for the first time, nor would Belle let anyone try to usher them away before they were ready to go.

Neal’s grave wasn’t far from the entrance. Belle let Rumple walk up to it first, and watched him as he traced his fingers over the engraved letters of the tombstone, focusing on the words above Neal’s name. BELOVED SON. “Son, I want you to know how proud I am of you. You were a better man than I could have ever hoped you would be. I don’t know how—”

Suddenly Rumple buckled to the ground, sobbing. Belle ran up to him, setting the ceramic vase to the right of the gravestone before kneeling down to hold him in a tight embrace.

“I’m so sorry, Bae,” he cried, choking out the words between sobs. “I never wanted this for you. I wanted us to be a family. I wanted you to be happy. I wanted anything but this,” he cried as he clung to Belle. She held her husband fiercely and stroked the back of his head. Rumple quietly shook in her arms, every breath ragged as he buried his face into her shoulder and wept for his lost son.

Puppy Love Day 20

WARNING: THIS STORY CONTAINS VAST AMOUNTS OF FLUFF! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

            “Rumple, look!”

Belle held up a pudgy, little pug puppy. It was so close to his face that it licked his nose.  Gold did manage to smile. The puppy was cute and Belle seemed to be enjoying herself. Honestly, she was almost like a child again. She was talking to the puppies and hugging them, the biggest grin on her face. Gold had promised her they could adopt a dog but he had a feeling she was going to want more than one.

Gold sat down and waited for his wife to make a choice. Suddenly, he felt something against his leg. Looking down, Gold saw one of the saddest looking dogs he had ever seen. It was a pitbull that was missing half its ear and had a large scar across its right eye. Whatever accident it had faced had also left its blind in his right eye. But despite that, the dog looked at Rumple, panting happily.

“Well, you certainly look happy for someone who is missing some of your ear.” He said, reaching down to pet the dog.

The dog leaned against him, loving the attention. Gold smiled as Belle came over to him. Upon seeing the dog, she gasped.

            “Rumple, he’s perfect!” She declared.

“What?” Gold looked at her, a bit confused. “Didn’t you want a puppy?”

“I did but look at him!” Belle got down and started petting the dog. “He’s so sweet despite his face!”

The dog proceeded to lick Belle’s face.

“Awwww!” She said. “Rumple, please can we adopt his one?”

“Really? He’s not as cute as the puppies.”

“Yes. I want him. Besides, he reminds me of you. A bit rough on the outside but gentle on the inside.”

It amazed Gold how Belle managed to make him love her even more each day. And he had to admit, the pitbull was oddly adorable.

“Okay. Let’s fill out the paper work.”

Belle smiled and gave Rumple a kiss. After filling out the paperwork, Belle began to list off names for their newest family member.

            “How about Othello?” Belle asked.

            “No, too morbid.” Gold said.

            “What about Thomas?”

“No, he doesn’t look like a Thomas.” Gold looked at the dog.

“Hm,” Belle thought for a second. “How about Rumple Jr?”

            “No way.”

“Okay, you come up with a name then!”

“Alright, alright,” Gold grinned. “How about we name him Hephaestus?”

“Hephaestus? After the god of blacksmiths?”

“We can call him Hep for short. And believe it or not, I knew Hephaestus back in the day,” Gold said. “The dog reminds me of him. Hephaestus wasn’t blessed with a handsome face but he never let that get him down. He was one of my only friends.”

“You never told me that,” Belle said. “You knew him back in the Enchanted Forest.”

“Yes, I did,” Gold with a sigh. “Sadly, he didn’t make the trip with us. He’s a good lad. Maybe you’ll get to meet him some day.”

            “I’d like that!”

“I know he would like you,” Gold opened the door to the pet shop. “He was always telling me to find a good wife. I think he’d be proud of him.”

            Belle smiled.

Upon entering the store, they spotted one of them employees dancing as she mopped. She didn’t seem to notice them for her dancing continued. She bobbed her head, rolled her arms and shook her rear. Belle clapped for her which made her turn around.

“Oh!” She blushed. “Sorry! I didn’t hear you come in.”

“That’s okay! Your dancing is wonderful.”

            The girl blushed even more.

“We’re here to buy your best dog bed,” Gold said. “We’ll also need a leash, a few collars and a dog bowl.”

“Our most expensive bed is $300,” The girl said. “Are you sure?”

“Money is no object dearie,” He said. “My boy deserves the best.”

Hep merely panted happily.  HE nudged the girl’s hand, wanting to be petted. She smiled and scratched behind his ears.

“Aw, what a cutie!” She said. “Okay, the bed is in the backroom. I’ll go get it! Oh and my name is Odette. If you need me, holler.”

The girl ran to the backroom while Belle and Gold started to look around.

“None of these dog foods sit well with me,” Gold as he glanced at the cans. “I think I’ll make Hep’s food.”

“You’ll make him fat,” Belle warned. “I’ve already gained a pound or too.”

“And it looks lovely,” Gold replied. “Besides, nothing is too good for our dog.”

“I have a feeling you’re going to spoil our children.”

            “You have no idea darling.”

At the end of the day, the couple had bought Hep not just a fancy pet bed but a plethora of dog toys, ten new collars and five leashes. Odette offered to help carry their things home but Belle wouldn’t hear of it. They thanked her before Gold teleported the items back to his place. Then, the small trio walked home.

“Here you are Hep, your new home!” Belle said.

She unhooked the leash and Hep went wild, running around. His tail never stopped wagging as he sniffed everything in the house. When he was done, he returned to his new parents. Gold placed the Hep’s new dog dish on the ground. He waved his hand and a steak appeared in the bowl. Hep tore into it.

“A steak? Rumple, won’t that make him sick?” Belle asked worriedly.

“He’ll be fine dear.” Gold reassured.

Night soon fell. Belle placed Hep’s new bed in their room. Gold was lying on the bed, reading one of the many books Belle suggested, when Hep came over. Gold glanced over at the pitbull who was staring him with somewhat sad eyes.

“What is it boy?” He asked. Hep whimpered. “What’s wrong?”

Hep jumped slightly and put his paws on the bed.

“Oh, you want up on our bed eh?” Gold said. “After all that money I spent on your nice doggy bed, you want mine?”

Hep whimpered again.  Gold sighed as he stood up. Hep jumped onto the bed and plopped himself down in the middle. Belle came back in from the bathroom. She sat down and looked at Hep who was wagging his tail.

“Good thing our bed is big enough or we wouldn’t all fit,” She said, getting under the covers. “So….this is what it’s like being a family?”

“It feels nice doesn’t it?” Gold said, closing his book. “It feels right. You, me and Hep.”

“Should we introduce Hep to Neal tomorrow?” Belle asked as she laid down.

“That’s a great idea.” Gold said.

Hep laid his head down and yawned. Gold turned off the light and laid down. He searched around until he found Belle’s hand. Then, the small trio drifted off to sleep.

(Un)interrupted Bliss: Rumbelle Newlyweds Celebration - Day 19

Summary: All Belle and Rumpelstiltskin wanted is some time alone together, but as always, the Charmings have other ideas.

Author Notes: So, here’s my contribution to the Rumbelle Newlyweds Celebration. Word Count: 1,562. No smut; rated T for lots of kissing and implications. Please feel free to review, or like/reblog. Any feedback you feel like giving would be great.

By the time she entered the kitchen, he was already making breakfast. He’d gotten up earlier than her, careful not to wake her as he started his daily routine.

"Good morning, my dear wife," he greeted her with a teasing smile as he handed her a mug of tea – spiced chai, two sugars, just the way she liked it.

"Thank you, my darling husband," she replied jokingly – the word ‘husband’ sending a thrill down her spine – before hopping up onto the kitchen counter, her usual perch. She’d always sat on the table in the great hall of the Dark Castle when she talked with him, and it was turning out to be a hard habit to break in Storybrooke. Rumpel didn’t seem to mind, however.

"You’re welcome," as he spoke, he moved to stand in front of her while she sipped her tea.

"So," Belle began, setting her tea down to cool, "What’s the plan for today? What crisis do we have to prevent?"

Babysitters - Mr. and Mrs. Gold Day 17

It’s not exactly what I wanted, but I was pressed for time over the last few days. But I hope you all enjoy anyway!

“Why us?” Rumple asked, navigating the sea of blankets and cardboard books and teething rings that was once his living room. Belle chuckled from her place on the couch, the little bundle nestled in her arms, comfortably sleeping away. He had to admit that she looked like a natural with him in the crook of her elbow.

“You say that as if he were some sort of disease.” Belle looked down at the sleeping babe and the softest smile graced his lips. One of his own touched Rumple’s before he could stop it. “He’s only a baby, Rumple. I know you’ve cared for one before.” She realized what she said and looked up at him guiltily. “I’m sorry.” It had been so difficult since Neal’s death… for all of them. But Rumple most of all, and Belle wished she knew how to help him.

“No, you’re right,” Rumple waved off her concern, coming over to sit next to her on the couch. “I have. It was literal lifetimes ago, but I suppose it could be… what’s the phrase? Like riding a bike?”

Belle smiled and shifted toward Rumple. “Would you like to hold him?” He hesitated for a moment. Not because he wasn’t a perfectly fine child, or he was somehow frightened of holding something so pure that he may taint him with his very presence. Well, not entirely. The boy was Baelfire’s namesake, and holding him would open doors Rumple would rather keep closed.

“That’s alright,” he finally said, moving away unconsciously. “He looks happy there with you.” Belle smiled and looked back down at the baby. “Have you been around many infants?” Rumple realized he knew very little of the details of her life before she lived with him.

Belle shook her head. “I had no brothers or sisters, so no nieces or nephews,” she said, looking back up to meet Rumple’s gaze.  “But I always wanted one of my own.”

“Did you?” Rumple’s stomach flipped. He supposed he should have guessed that watching Neal for the afternoon would lead to a conversation like this. He ought to be grateful for it, he thought. The topic may never have been broached otherwise. “Is that… something you would still like to have?”

“I don’t know,” Belle answered, shrugging and turning her attention back to Neal who had begun stirring a bit in her arms. “Does it matter?”

“Why wouldn’t it matter?” Rumple was incredulous.

“Because…” Belle trailed off, not sure exactly how to say it. She’d been harboring it in her heart all this time, and yet she still couldn’t express it. “I just assumed…”

“The only thing you need assume,” Rumple interrupted her, “is that I love you and anything you want, I want as well.”

                Belle beamed. “Truly?”

“Truly.” Belle leaned in and kissed Rumple soundly on the lips, while Neal’s little hand came up between them and gripped the sleeve of his suit.

A Vist With Grandpa -- Rumbelle one-shot

Summary: Henry has dinner at Belle and Rumpelstiltskin’s house. For Day 9 of the Rumbelle Newlyweds Celebration.

Rating: PG for one small bit of language but that’s it.  Everything else is G-rated.

A/N: I am very, very, VERY sorry that this is a week late.  I had an unexpected AWFUL week and just couldn’t get this done until now.  But I do hope you enjoy it.  Some humor and some … . other stuff that’s not humor.

Belle and Rumpelstiltskin entered Granny’s diner for the first time since their wedding.  They had kept themselves isolated in their house for several days, and Belle decided (with much protest from Rumple, who would have preferred to stay home in bed with her) that it was time that they made an effort to blend into this little community they were part of.

They received several stares and a few glares as they took their seats in the diner.  It quickly became apparent that everyone knew that they were now husband and wife.  Damn cricket must have chirped all over town, Rumple thought to himself.

Just as they had settled in to their booth, Emma Swan and Henry entered.  Henry immediately noticed them and darted toward their booth, with Emma following behind.

“Hi, Henry.” Belle said, smiling up at him.

“Hi.  I heard that you guys – well, is it true?  Are you really married?” Henry asked.

“Indeed we are, Henry.” Rumpelstiltskin replied.

“Do I get to call you grandma now, Belle?” Henry asked.  Belle laughed a bit.

“If you’d like.” Belle replied.

“So it’s true then.  Had to run off to marry her, huh Gold?  Afraid people would object?” Emma snipped.

“Actually, I was afraid that people would interrupt with some non-emergency emergency.  Your family tends to do that any time Belle and I want to have a moment together.” Rumpelstiltskin said.

“You know Henry – Rumple and I would love to have you come over to the house sometime.  Maybe for dinner.” Belle said, trying to change the subject.

“How about tonight?  We don’t have anything going on, right mom?” Henry asked.

“Yeah, I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Emma said.

“I’m sorry but – you would let that pirate who tried to kill me multiple times take care of Henry but not his own grandfather?” Belle asked.

“You let my grandson go off alone with that degenerate criminal?” Rumpelstiltskin asked.

“You sound like Regina.” Emma said.

“Well, for once her majesty and I agree on something.” Rumpelstiltskin said.

“It’s not like you have the greatest reputation in the world either.” Emma said.

“Rumple is a different man now, and he wants to get to know his grandson.  We’ve talked about having Henry over for the last couple of days.  It would mean a lot to Rumple – and I’m sure it would mean a lot to Neal.” Belle said.

“Please, mom?” Henry whined.  Emma sighed.

“Fine.  What time you want him over there?” Emma asked.

“Six would be good.” Belle said.  “You’re welcome to stay as well.”

“Dinner with Gold?  I think I’ll pass.” Emma said.  “Come on Henry, let’s go.” Emma said, and she and Henry walked away.

“Let me guess.  Even in the short time you’ve known her, you have a complicated relationship with her.” Belle said.

“You know me so well.” Rumpelstiltskin said, and he took Belle’s hand and kissed it.

***~~~***~~**~~~***

Henry was thrilled to be at Rumpelstiltskin’s house for the first time in – well, EVER.  In all of the years that he had lived in Storybrooke, he never once dared to go near the grandiose pink manor owned by the mysterious Mr. Gold.  “Why is the house pink?” Henry asked as they finished eating dessert.

“Well, Regina created the curse.  Why don’t you ask her?” Rumple replied.

“You think she did it just to be – well, you know.” Henry said.

“A spiteful bitch?” Rumple asked.

“Rumple!” Belle shouted at him.  “Don’t use that language around Henry.”

“Its okay, my mom has said worse.” Henry said.

“Which one?” Rumpelstiltskin asked.

“Actually, both of them.” Henry replied.

“Well, I like the pink.  Pink represents love – and that’s what we have.  True love.” Belle said, and she took Rumpelstiltskin’s hand and squeezed it.

“So you guys really are Beauty and the Beast, then?  That’s cool.” Henry said.  “Did you have talking furniture in your castle?”

“Well, some of it talked – at one point.” Rumpelstiltskin said.

“Rumple!  There were NOT things in the castle that were once people.  Were there?” Belle asked, very concerned.  Rumpelstiltskin was silent.  “Well, you can’t leave them like that, change them back!”

“I believe it’s a bit too late for that, dear.  Most of them remained at the castle and any of them that were transferred here in the curse – well, unfortunately, they shall remain what they are.” Rumpelstiltskin said.  Belle stood up and began to clear the table, and she quietly glared at him while she did this.  Rumpelstiltskin sighed and looked down sadly.

“She’ll forgive you.  She’s Belle – that’s what she does.  Sees the good in people.” Henry said.

“Yes.  That she does.” Rumpelstiltskin said.  “And what about you, Henry?  Do you forgive me?”

“For what?” Henry asked.

“Everything.” Rumpelstiltskin said.  “I um – I’m not a nice man, Henry.  Pretty much everyone in town will attest to that, on a variety of levels.  Even Belle has her own experiences.”

“Well – my mom is the Evil Queen.  And she’s done some pretty bad stuff.  And I forgive her, so – it wouldn’t fair of me to say I didn’t forgive you.  You’re trying to be good now, right?”

“Very much.” Rumpelstiltskin said.

“Then I guess that’s all that matters.” Henry said.  Belle stormed back into the room.

“I want to know what in this house was once a person.” Belle demanded.

“Belle, you really think I can remember all of that?” Rumple asked, and Belle glared at him.  Rumpelstiltskin sighed.  “I think the grandfather clock might have been – someone.”

“Cogsworth!” Henry shouted.

“Who?” Belle asked.

“Haven’t you seen the movie?” Henry asked.

“What movie?” Belle asked.

“Beauty and the Beast.  It’s a really good movie.  Belle is a lot like you, but – the beast is really hairy.  And big.  And he yells a lot.” Henry said.  Belle giggled a bit.

“Well, he did yell a lot.” Belle said.

"You were always pestering me, what was supposed to do?  You didn’t listen to anything else.” Rumpelstiltskin said.

“Still don’t.” Belle said, and she kissed him on the cheek.

“You forgive me, then?” Rumpelstiltskin asked.

“Well – those things happened a long time ago.  You’re not that man anymore, and – I know you’d fix it if you could.  Right?” Belle asked.

“Of course, sweetheart.” Rumpelstiltskin replied.  “Henry – Belle and I would like to show you something.” he said as he began to stand up.  Henry followed them into the parlor area of the house, where a variety of knick-knacks resided.

“Wow.” Henry said, looking around the room.  “Is all this stuff from your land?”

“It is.  And each and every piece has a story behind it.  I would like it very much if you would come over more often.  I’d like to tell you those stories.” Rumpelstiltskin said.  “But right now – I want to tell you this story.”  They walked over to the chipped cup that was sitting on top of a pedestal.

“Chip!” Henry shouted.  Belle and Rumpelstiltskin just stared at him quizzically.  “There was a teacup in the movie.  His name was Chip and he was – chipped.”

“Well – this cup is – just a cup.  And so much more than that.” Rumpelstiltskin said.

“I dropped it on my first day at the castle.  I’m the one who broke it.” Belle said.  “It’s – kind of been a symbol of our love.”

“For many years – I thought Belle to be dead.  This was all I had left of her.  I cherish this cup more than any other possession in this house.” Rumpelstiltskin said.  “The only thing that rivals it is this.”  Rumpelstiltskin walked over to a wall painting and pulled it back.  He opened a safe that was hidden behind it and took out a brown shawl.

“That was my dad’s.” Henry said.  “You wore that to Manhattan.  So you could cross the town line.”

“Yes I did.” Rumpelstiltskin said.  “And I want you to have it, Henry.”  Rumpelstiltskin offered him the shawl.

“I can’t take this.  This is all you have left of him.” Henry said.

“No.  That’s not true.  I have you, Henry.  You are so very much like your father.  And I have you to remind me of him.  This rightfully belongs to you now.  I want you to have it.” Rumpelstiltskin said.  Henry started to cry as he took the shawl into his hands.

“Thank you, grandpa.” Henry said, and he hugged Rumpelstiltskin tightly.

“You’re very welcome, my boy.” Rumpelstiltskin said, hugging him back.  Belle put her arms around both of them and gave Rumple a soft kiss on the cheek.

Bachelor No More: A First Days As Mr. and Mrs. Gold Fic, Day 16

"Alright. Up." Rumplestiltskin, clad in black silk pajamas, shot up in bed, his hands immediately searching out and panicking when the soft body of his new wife wasn’t there next to him, until he found that rather than next to him, she was standing at the foot of the bed- with several of the other men in Storybrooke around her. To Belle’s left was Grumpy- Leroy, in this word- looking not-too-pleased. He understood why, he had never been close with the man. The cricket, Dr. Hopper, was next to him. He and the doctor had quickly gotten to like each other after the wedding and even having a session with him just after their wedding to talk about Bae, so seeing the other man relaxed him.

Nailed Down

Day 15 of the Rumbelle Newlywed Challenge.  Rum and Belle shop for curtains.

————————————————————————————————————————————-

When her husband, yes husband, suggested that they should start making his house ‘theirs’ Belle had been all for it.  It was one thing to be dating and leave a book here, a pair of socks there, and a toothbrush in the bathroom.  But they were married now.  Against all odds.  It was high time that the Gold’s made their collective mark on their home.

Though, when he had suggested they achieve this by shopping for curtains of all things, well, Belle had been amused to say the least.

Impulse Buy

Summary: The new Mr. and Mrs. Gold go grocery shopping. For Day 11 of the Rumbelle Newlyweds Celebration.

Rating: PG to PG-13-ish for a little saucy talk

A/N: My apologies if this feels a little rushed. I’m in a real-life wedding next weekend and couldn’t spend as much time as I would’ve liked writing this one. Still, I hope this little bit of Rumbelle fluff puts a smile on your face. I hope you all enjoy, and remember: our ship is married! :)

Rumplestiltskin liked lists. They were organized, precise and methodical. If he stuck to his list, he would get exactly what he needed—no more, and no less. However, “he” was now part of a “we”, and the other half of “we” took a decidedly more…serendipitous approach to grocery shopping.
