Hello and a happy new year to all of you who have stuck with us for so long! as many of you are aware, we have been working behind the scenes to revamp the network, bringing a more efficient, structured directory that will better provide our members’ resources to the community.  It has been six years since we first opened gif pack network in 2014, with a lofty goal to bring a network of gif creators together, along with a cohesive directory to showcase their work. Many of you have seen us grow over the years, and with this growth has come a learning curve when it comes to compiling and sharing the work the members have created. We found that the growing volume of packs was sometimes difficult to keep up with as admins, and that the process that once worked for our fledgling group was no longer efficient for the quickly growing network. We also found that the website itself had difficulty supporting the massive amount of data in the directory. So, we made the decision to create a better, smoother, more efficient directory! 

We are very proud to announce the grand reopening of gif pack network! Join us as we unveil the new structure, and take a look around! 

Below are a few important links and pieces of information that will help you navigate the new gif pack network! 

We are also introducing a brand new blog that will work alongside the network. @gpnsupport ! This blog will feature resources for creators, including how to create, color, and post your gifs! This will replace our current chatbox and allow members of the rpc to make gif pack suggestions.

We would also like to take this time to thank the people that make GPN - the many members that continue to provide resources to this community. We are so grateful to every member of the network that has worked alongside us to make the new GPN possible. Thank you for being patient with us as we worked to bring this new iteration of the network to fruition.

To our followers, we are grateful for the support you have shown the creators in this community, and for continuing to follow us through this journey.

i really wasn’t going to say anything about this bullshit, but this is enough.

i know you hate me and just won’t rest until you know i am dead, but this is ridiculous. i’ve been driven to cut off people i believed were my friends, to leave my blog, to hide, to spend the weekend talking to people and explaining them how little i know about whatever the fuck you guys decided to do this weekend and apologize for the stuff people have been saying and the bullshit people would put in the tags and the hurt fellow victims had to experience AND for univolved people to be triggered/affected by all while people happily treated this situation as something the community could gossip about when me and other people involved repeatedly stated that we do not want to be associated with ANY of the people involved and to not bring up our names, especially in public spaces by answering anons and discussing sensitive stuff for everyone to see given how not only has this been extremely detrimental to our mental health, but there have been horrible irl consequences brought up by this. 

but no one cared. i know that i have a strong character, but things affect me as well. and i know people just believe woc must be strong all the time and we are only worth of something when we speak up on behalf of other (mainly white) people and then when we are damaged, when our wishes are disrespected, and when our pleads for people to not use our names are ignored for the sake of our mental health that just goes ignored way too often until it is too late. i know that the only people that will bat for my are the close friends i’ve acquired and mantained throughout the years, that’s fine. i know how the world works and how people will run to sympathize with the white person at all times.

obviously, this isn’t me. if you know me you know this isn’t me and know where to find me and how to contact me, which is how i found out how this was happening. i won’t discuss the ways to point out how this person is impersonating me so they cannot be used to perfect whatever little game they are playing, but if you know me i trust you should be able to see this is nothing but a pathetic individual trying to imitate the way i talk.

all i will say is that i am tired. i shouldn’t have to do the very same thing white people do by listing the multiple ways their mental health has been affected after people criticize them in order to beg for pity. i will not discuss what does and does not affect me mentally in public. if you know me, you know the ways i’ve privately struggled with this, of my irl experiences, and my own struggles with what i’ve been diagnosed with.

and if the person behind this is someone who know of this, i just hope you choke. 

i’m going on a walk to figure out what i will be doing next, but if you have any doubts i think people that have known me for years would be able to tell you what i’m about and why i don’t need to do something the things people done this weekend. i’ve said it before and i say it again, whenever i’ve felt the need to say something, i’ve always made sure i attached my name to it. please just keep that in mind.

and to the people that are not personally involved in this mess, i am truly very sorry you’ve had to witness this. i am sorry people don’t know when to quit and i hope all of this ends soon so we can all go back to minding our own business. 

If you aren’t black/latine you shouldn’t be talking about ball culture point blank period let’s push aside the fact that y’all still don’t think bisexual women can use butch and femme (they can!!!) for a second and look at that. So… Did y’all forget that Melanie Martinez was accused of rape, which she responded to with ‘you didn’t say no’ (which as we all know, doesn’t equal consent), and then her fans pressured her accuser into saying that the rape allegations were wrong, and then she had the audacity to make a DISS TRACK ABOUT HER ACCUSER, including the lyrics ‘now you’re trying to kill my name for some fame’, or did we all just decide to conveniently forget all of that in favor for the gross DDL/G aesthetic :/

Her former female friends have said Melanie has done very similar things to them when the victim’s story came out, and that’s what makes it very hard for me to believe it’s ‘fake’.

Whether you believe bisexuality was inclusive of nonbinary people in the 1960s, or whatever the latest debate is, the fact is that the bi community has spent the majority of the last decade trying to make it clear that bisexual means or should mean much more than just “attraction to men and women”, and there has been very, very little push back from within the bi community. The general consensus is that the word “bisexual” should be infinitely broad and inclusive, no matter what the etymological root is. Bisexuals do not want “bisexual” to be limited.

The only people desperately trying to reinforce the idea that “bisexual means 2 genders” are people who do not identify as bisexual. 

Idk who needs to hear this but non-Native people who want to build a communist or socialist state to replace Canada & the US are just as colonialist as their capitalist counterparts.

If the movement doesn’t prioritize returning governance to Indigenous people it’s just colonizing but a little to the left

Ok, so let’s talk a little more about the Land Back movement. I saw a ton of white nonsense in the notes comparing the call to return indigenous land to indigenous people to—I shit you not—Nazi Germany and ethnonationalism. We’re not even going to give those clowns a debate platform. We’re just here to laugh at them. That said, I also saw legitimately good points asking where this movement would leave Black people who, while not Native, are certainly not colonizers. Land Back is inherently a movement for Indigenous people and descendants of slaves. It should and does include reparations for the land loss and theft experienced by slaves post-emancipation (the effects of which are still seen and felt today).

All this said, Land Back means different things to different indigenous people and their tribes.

Some really do literally mean the return of U.S. land to tribal nations and ADOS is something that SHOULD happen, but we’re not a bunch of idiots. We understand that’s not a pragmatic or achievable solution (currently) and return of land =/= forcibly removing or committing mass genocide of people that don’t look like us. That’s something only savages do, and we have never been savages.

Other times it means protecting Turtle Island, all of us who live here, as a collective. Love the land and the land will love us back. Land back = the key to restoring ecosystems. Listen to indigenous people. We have always known these lands better than y’all.

It is also an empowering political statement from indigenous leaders to their people, to keep fighting for our treaties, for the right to self-govern, to continue the long process of de-colonizing ourselves, to harness our own power, to restore our cultures.

As far as literal repatriation of land goes, it’s not a far fetched or impossible idea. It has been done and is being done. It’s far from simple, but land stewardships, land trusts, and land transfers are all legal mechanisms to achieve this. And it doesn’t mean you (the donor) must leave the land. Oftentimes it means paying taxes to the tribe itself but still being able to live on/use the land; it just makes it so that the land has been returned to the tribe. In theory this would be the solution for indigenous people getting our land back without this big dramatic forced exodus of white people that racists pretend to be so worried about. It’s too complicated to really delve into here but this is a good link for a brief overview of the idea behind it.
