It’s weird to open this blog up after 3 years and see the massive changes that we’ve gone through. I’ve found someone for life and we’re (me, him, and Lizzy) living together in our new house with our cat, and Casey now wants to sign his rights away. I’ve been thinking about coming back to this blog but with so much history I don’t care for now, I’m not sure.

So, finally after only seeing her a total of two days MAYBE since THANKSGIVING – which means two days within the last two fucking months – Elizabeth went to visit Casey. Thank the fucking lord ‘cause I needed a goddamn break. I love her and I miss her, but FUCK. I NEED SOME ME TIME, OKAY.

She’s spending the night and she’s doing better than usual (probably because it’s been a long ass fucking time since she had any significant time with him). She did call me, though, as per usual. He called me over Facebook messenger and she spent most of the phone call freaking out because she had an echo – at one point she screeched “GET THAT THING AWAY FROM ME” – but it cracked me up, lol.

When she was ready to get off the phone and we said I love yous, I told her good night and for some reason it made her sad. She told me she didn’t want to tell me good night yet and wanted me to stay up, so I told her I would. I planned on it anyway, but it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside that even though she isn’t home, she wants me to stay awake because she is.

Elizabeth just came out of her room to hug me and tell me she doesn't want me to be hurt by a dinosaur.

I have some updates and funny tidbits about Elizabeth and shit I could post, buuuut not tonight.

Today was a good day though. My mom and I went to the college store, as I said, then went to Walmart because Casey actually sent me money for once, and we ate Chinese like we always do when we’re without the kids, lol. Today was also the first official day of the semester for me and I got all my introductory posts, book registrations, and syllabus acknowledgments out of the way for 4/5 of my classes.

There is another, but he doesn’t seem to have his shit straight. It’s an online class and his syllabus and course schedule refer to on-campus class shit and it makes no sense. I wanted to sort out my planner for the semester, but that isn’t happening until I know that the course schedule he has up is accurate. And he doesn’t have a syllabus acknowledgment anywhere, or a discussion board, or anywhere for us to post any assignments. It’s like he forgot the semester started today.

Woops, dropped off and forgot I had a blog again, lol. Today, my mom and I went to the college store (for the second time because she forgot stuff lol) and I got a small trash can for Elizabeth's room. She's overly excited about it. She thanked me profusely with a shit ton of hugs. She's told me each time she's put anything in it.

Elizabeth got to see Casey again. He didn't take her to his house just to town. Fucking Kristin was with him too but she stayed in the car as expected. His dad bought her a Frozen bike and he brought it with him. She's pretty stoked but its harder to ride than her trike so there's some frustration too. While they were out he bought her some new hello kitty tennis shoes and some toys too. But she only spent about 3 1/2 hours with him before she was ready to come home. The most frustrating thing after she's seen him though is that she's ten times more defiant and throws ten times more tantrums. It'll probably continue till tomorrow before she chills out to normal. Ugh.

Kids are so weird. I cut out a cardboard square for my mom to put underneath her scentsy and Elizabeth immediately wanted one. So I cut one out for both Elizabeth and Gabby and they're acting like its Christmas. Also, Elizabeth's new years resolution is to be a purple horse.

She's totally outgrown her trike, but she's finally learned to ride it!

Today Elizabeth said I was the best mom ever for not being out of toilet paper.

The upside to Elizabeth's long nap today is that she definitely feels better. The downside is that her schedule is definitely messed up just days before she goes back to school.

Elizabeth was throwing up all day but she seems okay now after a long nap. Thank goodness.
