every year around christmas me and my grandma play this fun family game called “maybe you want to put jesus in your room instead, sweetie? :)”. now, it’s important to note that the jesus referred to in our game is not actually the real jesus christ, but instead a wooden figure i made in 2011 that has an uncanny resemblance to the lord and savior himself
so what happens is that i place jesus in our living room, and my grandma smiles and asks me if i don’t want to decorate my room with him instead. i ask her in return if she thinks my jesus figure is ugly (which he is), but she reassures me that this is not the case. however, a couple of days later jesus mysteriously disappears from our living room, and appear in my room instead
now, the real jesus christ might have been able to perform a miracle like this, but please remember that the jesus in our story is only a figure made out of wood. he can not move on his own, so i think we can safely say that my grandma is the prime suspect here
the first year i would often confront my grandma about this, but she would always make up an excuse and never straight up tell me she moved him because he’s so ugly it’s an embarrassment to the family
eventually i grew tired of her lies, so now we only move jesus around in silence. one second he’s in the living room, the next he’s back in my room. in a way i think this adds an extra element of excitement to the holiday season, because you never know for sure when jesus is going to be moved again
and so it begins..

I know that I am not a skilled artist but I couldn't get this mashup out of my head so I did my best to put it on paper. I think Moana and Ariel would totally be friends.
My fave part about Harry Potter is the fact that Peter Pettigrew cut off his finger thinking “when the ministry finds my severed finger they’ll think I’m dead” and when the ministry FREAKING FINDS THE FINGER they’re like “all that’s left is a finger. The rest of his body is totally not walking around, missing a finger. totes dead.”
Okay guys, I promise this is my last Halloween related post, especially since it’s now November lol. But I’ll shut up after this.
So, I spoke too soon yesterday when I posted the “unfinished” Halloween music video about the Other Mother from Coraline. My best friend was originally going to be Coraline, but a part of her costume that she bought online 40 days ago, literally didn’t get here until yesterday.
As soon as she got it, we at the last minute decided to dress up and go out in the dark town. We visited two cemeteries, both beautiful yet incredibly eerie, and video taped a completely new music video of The Other Mother and Coraline.
We had some pretty good lighting thanks to my car and our phones, but obviously it’s not perfect since we shot it at night. However, I‘m extremely proud of what came out as a result. Yes, it could’ve been better, but given what we had to use at the last minute, I thought that shooting it at night made it so much creepier and haunting.
Now unfortunately, we had to change the button eyes, because the actual buttons would NOT stay in whenever I walked. So my bestie colored a pair of old sunglasses completely black, and used a silver sharpie to create the holes. Yeah it’s kinda noticeable and the eyes are much bigger, BUT it made the button eyes more obvious, and beggars can’t be choosers. I was at least able to walk around with them on.
I’m sooooo happy my bestie and I got to do our video after all! So this is me singing and being the other mother, and my bestie as Coraline.

i love prince eric. from the little mermaid. he’s hilarious. because he seems like one of the most mild-mannered and unassuming princes in the disney canon, but he is also one of the few to actively kill the bad guy. most disney villains die by consequence of the final battle but are not directly killed by the hero/heroine. most of them fall to their deaths or cause their own demise, and sometimes the hero is indirectly responsible because they’ll launch them into that direction or something, but they still don’t bring knife to heart directly.
but then a couple do. and prince eric is my fave out of those few because up until the final act, he is the most chill motherfucker u ever seen. like he is quick to spring to action during the storm scene n stuff, but otherwise? he’s really quiet n sensitive and runs along the beach playing the flute for his big shaggy dog n he smiles like a lil nerd and gets all cute around ariel and he’s so sweet n everything.
AND THEN IN THE FINAL BATTLE THAT MOTHERFUCKER STRAIGHT UP DRIVES A SHIP THROUGH URSULA LIKE WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!! NO WONDER NO ONE IS TRYIN TO LAY SIEGE TO HIS KINGDOM!! ALL THE NEIGHBOURS ARE LIKE “HOLY SHIT DON’T GO THERE! PRINCE ERIC IS A BEAST! HE’LL STRAIGHT UP DRIVE A BOAT THROUGH YOUR BITCH!”

Real-life princess Laura Osnes just shattered my heart into a million pieces. This is the most adorable and amazing thing i’ve ever seen. It’s literally all my favorite disney songs (and my favorite Anastasia song) in one medley. Props to Ben Rauhala for his incredible arrangement!!
