Bitch if you cared about humans you wouldn't pay for animal products because humans are exploited and get ptsd and trauma from slaughtering sentient beings. Vegans are also humans who care about these animals enough that they literally ask you not to harm them because it hurts us too.

Update: Finally some good news, but we still might get evicted.

Basically, my partner started a new project today collecting signatures for a petition. The pay is solid, and the guy behind the campaign is someone he's worked for and known for a while, and so is middle management.

The way it works is, you do a turn-in of signatures on certain days, and you get a check on the spot or via direct deposit. Some people in this field don't have bank accounts. Others are practically off the grid. And it depends on who you're working for. Some campaigns are great. A lot of them pay shit and/or are poorly funded and/or organized.

So this is the first really good news we've had in a while. It's a great gig and a great issue, but being in Florida, there's going to be fuckery afoot. So who knows exactly how long this will last, but likely it will go until July and possibly up right before the election.

Problem: we still haven't paid rent and are being threatened with eviction proceedings to begin on the 25th. We could make a lot of money between now and then, but probably not the whole $1600. So I'm trying to raise about $500-600 towards that and food.

We're going to work an event shortly. This is the first time since the pandemic started that things have felt halfway normal in terms of our prospects. If I wasn't on my period, and poised to run out of pain meds, I'd be looking forward to it. As it is, at least we're able to do something and hopefully get back on our feet.

Like I said, I'm trying to raise about $500-600. Between what little we have right now and what we can make in the next few days, that's about what we'd need to make rent and eat once or twice a day.

Thanks to anyone who can help at all. Hopefully I won't have to do this again for a while, and hopefully I can contribute to some of my friends' needs if this pans out the way I hope and think it will.

Last year I lost my uncle and his entire family in a missile attack on his displacement site in Rafah, and Al Jazeera YouTube reported.

Today, I am in pain as I miss the dearest to my heart, my father, who suffered from a stroke that caused him quadriplegia. He could not cope with the catastrophic life as we lived in a tent that was like a grave. His weak body was exposed to malnutrition as a result of not providing the necessary food for his condition, and the severe cold caused him to have a heart attack that led to his immediate death.

I wake up terrified every night. I check on my family, whom I fear will die of cold 🥶😰

And it was not limited to this, but our tent that shelters my family, children, and my brother Samer, who suffers from a chronic illness, was flooded and swept away under the dirt as a result of the heavy rains. Our tent has become worn out and does not protect us from the winds and rain ⛈️⛺
