Ahmed Saad or @/90-ghost's brother in law is currently doing his best to organise the evacuation of his family from Gaza. This family suffers from a combination of ailments that all require medical attention. This is the description on their GFM page:

Hello, I hope you all are doing well!

My name is Mohamed Monir Ahmad Mahmoud, I’m a hemophilia patient from Gaza. I decided to start this campaign with all the hope that you could support me in evacuating Gaza to do surgery for me and my daughter and start a fresh life with my 5 kids out of the ongoing genocide in Gaza [...] I was supposed to go out at the end of 2023 to have surgery on my knees but since 7 October, I had no chance due to the procedures on Rafah crossing, the gate of Gazans to the world. Now, my knees and elbows are bleeding with no access to any type of care and if things stand as they are in Gaza, I won’t be able to walk or make any effort because of the bleeding (currently I am barely able to set up a small fire in front of the tent to prepare food for my kids).

What I ask is 60,000, for travel costs because each one would need to pay 5,000-8,000$ to be allowed to leave Gaza through Rafah crossing and we need around 3000$ more in Egypt for our stay and to obtain visas. We will be heading to Brazil where my brother Diaa lives and there is a huge chance to do the surgeries and access health care as the health care for Hemophilia patients in Brazil is one of the most advanced in the world.

please give generously!!

Happy Earth Day: celebrate by getting clean water in to Gaza!

(via unrwa):Gaza: access to water is extremely limited and sanitary structures are insufficient to meet people's needs. Gaza's water supply remains at only 7 per cent of its pre-October 2023 levels.”

Gaza has been in a water crisis for months now, there is virtually no clean/drinkable/accessible water due to Israel’s occupation and siege.

With the summer months approaching, the temperatures in Gaza are rising (it will be nearly 40 celsius there this week) and the lack of viable water is going to continue to cause extreme destruction.

Here are some orgs to donate to that are getting water into Gaza/working on making water in Gaza accessible:

FOR SUDAN:

Happy Earth Day 🤍🌍 choose to be kind

It’s really heartening how much people on this site came together to help Ahmed @90-ghost. He’s in Egypt now with his younger brother waiting on his mom and older brother to join them. The issue now is living expenses. Life is extremely difficult for displaced people, and the future is uncertain. If you’ve ever wondered how you can help a Palestinian displaced by the genocide, here’s one way to do so.

Do you want to know how to help the people of the DRC? Go donate money to focuscongo.com, that's one possibility.

You can also donate physical objects in high demand right now, if you have the $ to pay for international shipping prices, and send to this address [10 Avenue Des Messagers, Quartier Les Volcans, Commune de Goma, Ville de Goma, Province du Nord-Kivu, République Démocratique du Congo]. They need just about everything you use in a day to get by.

  • Clothing, socks, jackets, coats, (All sizes from infants to adults), purses, tote bags, backpacks.
  • Blankets, pillows & cases, bed sheets
  • Shoes, (All sizes!)
  • Cutlery, pots & pans, plates, cups, mugs (preferably plastic for the cups & plates so they don't break during shipment)
  • Over the counter medication & med supplies: ibuprofen (Advil), hydrogen peroxide, pain killers, bandages, bandaids, hand sanitizer, acetaminophen (Tylenol), cotton balls, gauze, deworming medication, compression wraps, saline solution, topical pain relief (Icy Hot), hydro-cortisone, detail, anti-funga treatment, surgical tape.
  • Baby formula, vitamins, water purification tablets, lifestraws, hair care / skin care products, pads & tampons, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, wet wipes, baby wipes, diapers.

However! If you are in the U.S., you can send (shoes only) your packages to this address in the U.S. [Exile International, Entrance F. 3534 West End Ave. Nashville, TN 37205, United States] which will ship them to the previously listed address, so it's less cost for you!

And finally, you can also go volunteer with Focus Congo! Fill out the application here, and email them at info@focuscongo.com, make sure to attach your resumé / CV, so they assign you to work that best suits your capabilities. Foreverjuicebae / juicebaeinthewild is one such volunteer and she posts regularly about the conditions of Congolese people in the DRC.

Please reblog! Likes don't help, reblogs spread the word.

Thanks to your donations from the previous drive, Mona and her brothers managed to buy many sacks of flour to distribute to people in the refugee camps in Rafah. I'm genuinely amazed at how much you lovely people are doing.

Please remember to donate! Every dollar helps! P*ypal.

Another aspect of the Gaza Genocide that I want to talk about is the complicity of Internet banking and crowdfunding websites like GoFundMe.

I have seen multiple Gazans raise enough money to leave for Egypt, but the banks and the crowdfunding websites freeze their money or cancel their funds for "suspicious activity" or whatever. Every day that passes in Gaza supplies get more scarce, conditions get more deadly, and the price to cross into Egypt gets more expensive. I've seen people, like ghost-90 here on Tumblr, raise the full amount to get their entire family out of Gaza, but their money gets frozen for so long that the original goal is only a fraction of the price now needed to cross the boarder.

These financial institutions should not be allowed to get away with contributing to the death toll in Gaza. They are intentionally keeping people trapped in a kill zone by withholding money that is rightfully theirs.

I'm so pissed and angry that every avenue for relief for Palestinians is being cut of left and right. It is vile that Gazans are being extorted for 10s of thousands of dollars by the Egyptian gov just to save their family's lives, but even when they play by this corrupt game, the world still finds a way to make them suffer.

My heart is with every Palestinian for the rest of time, from river to sea you will all be free. 🇵🇸❤️

Some more information from killy, the organizer of ghost-90's crowdfund, about how fucked the process is for Gazans to actually get paid out by GoFundMe.

And this is just one story from one person who had a little visibility at the time. How many funds have been frozen that no one knows about cuz they don't have any visibility? How many do we not know about cuz the recipient died while waiting for their funds to be released?

These financial institutions have blood on their hands just as much as the bastards dropping the bombs.

And for the people in the notes saying that the banks are just fallowing the law, laws that allow free transfer of money to Western countries but heavily criticizes and restricts money sent to the Middle East (or really any country that isnt part of the West) is racist and imperialist. Fallowing racist laws is still racist. But I think y'all might be understating how much power the banks have in this situation, they are choosing to fallow these "laws" of their own volition.

Don't try to cover for multi-billion dollar organizations that are directly profiting off genocide and people's desire to save their families from brutal death.

Do not forget about Palestinians on this Eid, do not forget about Gaza, do not forget about the lives taken and homes destroyed, do not forget about the joy and life so cruelly snatched from them.

Eid means to us what Christmas means to most of you. And they're spending it digging through rubble and locating bodies to burry.

They have no chocolates, no new clothes to wear, no homes to decorate, they lost loved ones which would gather together, no Eidi to give to children to make them happy, no mehndi, no jewelery, no new toys.

Do not forget about Palestine.

Keep boycotting for them, keep protesting for them, keep donating to the families through the link tree, keep buying e-sims for them, keep sharing the truth, keep exposing Israel for their consistent humanitarian crimes.

Remember the Palestinians, especially today, on Eid, an occasion of joy.

May Allah make it joyous for them after everything they had suffered, may they be free from the Zionist occupation and genocide

Eid Mubarak, to everyone, and to the Palestinians
