Here in a ceiling decor you can read his full name Jean-Louis Charles Garnier and the time period in which the opera was built, 1861 - 1975.
But that’s not all, he also included himself

in the decor of the Foyer de la Danse.

They arent necessarily bad? But they can be very vicious. That creepy form Dan has? Imagine that 90% of mermaids look like that by default. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted them to just be Deep Sea Horrors; living so far down in the ocean that they had to adapt to the harsh climate. Seeing one in public is SCARY bc they look so freaky and unnatural, but it means that theyre actually harmless/friendly. Because of the INSANE pressure from down below, seeing one on the surface means a) theyve been on the surface for their entire life or b) they took YEARS to get acclimated to the surface world (probably spending time at the same level as sirens to learn about terrestrials and to get used to the lack of pressure)
Theyre not BAD, theyre deep sea predators who attack what they can bc food is always scarce. But thats only a problem for creatures who decide travelling that far down is a good idea. If you ever see one in shallow waters or on the surface, youre totally fine (and theyre most likely very friendly; dont let the unhinged jaw and sunken eyes mislead u ). The reason why sirens seems nicer is bc they live in a much more forgiving environment :o

I hate that the Dairy Queen cashiers have to flip your blizzard upside down before giving it to you. I hate it. I know it’s most likely going to stay in it’s cup and I know I get a free one if it doesn’t, but the cocktail of a potential disaster and the cashier apologizing to what is most definitely a horrified me, having to sit in a drive-thru while someone behind me just bore witness to my fucking salted caramel blondie blizzard splattering on the asphalt, melting away while they mix me another one and i pray to god that they don’t flip it upside down again, is just a stress that I find entirely unnecessary. I trust it’s thick, just give me your word and i’ll be on my merry way.
I just imagined how it would feel to have them flip your second blizzard and have it spill too and I felt my shoulders physically tense
I’ve only been to DQ like 3 times in my life but the 2nd time I ordered a milkshake or something and I heard about DQ drinks not spilling when you flip them. I was not aware that this ability was only relegated to their blizzards. So long story short I said “hey, look at this” to my family and they watched me pour my milkshake on the ground.

I can’t wait for klance to be those best friends that affectionately insult each other, that overshare constantly, that smack talk together, that gravitate towards each other in a room full of people, that go to each other to vent when they are stressed, that order one plate and split it, that get fired up when the other is passionate about something, that make up parody song lyrics together to make each other laugh, that do the scary things the other one can’t, that you text first when shit goes down, that you make your own memes with, that sit on each other’s laps even when there’s plenty of empty seats. And then I can’t wait for them to realize how strongly they feel for one another, and for that awesome friendship to blossom seamlessly into pure romance.
