It's a sad fact that I still have a Tumblr because it's the only social media that my family can't find me or spy on. Therefore it's the only space I have to just be my weird gay self without my hyper Christian family telling me I'm going to hell.

... Ironically everyone else knows so I guess my family are the ones in the closet.

A whole bunch of his students did actually did this! Most of the fundamental concepts of psychology were established by people who fucking HATED freud and wanted to prove him wrong. They are referred to as neo-Freudians and their work is the actual basis for modern psychology.

Their work is based in freudian terminology and concepts, but they were all extremely put off by the concept of psychosexual violence being a fundamental aspect of human development and their work clearly reflects that.

Freud never really “discovered” anything. He just developed a way to describe a bunch of extremely abstract concepts in a consistent and cohesive way. He is extremely important to the felid of psychology because of his admittedly groundbreaking development of a new kind of terminology, and also because so much of the neo freudians work was done to spite freud specifically.
