SO…It’s looking likely I’ll be without a laptop this weekend. Gonna take the ipad instead for conveniences sake. It’s looking like I’m gonna go see Dirk regardless if the hotel is cleared or not. As long as I can see him and talk and spend time with him I don’t care. This is gonna be mainly to cover food and gas money which I see evening out to roughly 150$ since I’ll be covering myself and commuting an hour from the hotel to the airport on my own.

So basically put, I’m in a bit of a pickle and I’m doing a quick emergency commissions. I’m in need of something really urgent by Friday ( my electricity, to be exact ) and I, uh. Kinda need to keep my electricity. That’s a bit necessary lol. By Friday I need to get to a certain goal, so I’m offering my work to raise that goal! The goal is $262, but I do have $17 of it already saved up, so I only need $245 after that. Which is gonna be like, 12 commissions for me to do if I get 12 at this price. His bark of laughter is sharp as he enters his house, his shoulders shaking as he sets down his bag from work. His thumb rolls over the words as he snags a plate of food from the fridge, lazily eating as he types away at the tiny screen.
[ Text ] I didn’t even know it was you until I flew by. Seems like your nose is too stuck in your book to even look up for a split second. Your curtains suck by the way.
He snickers into his food, munching away on fruit as he deigns to add.
[ Text ] I heard chocolate and menstrual medicine helps, and I wasn’t going to go down another aisle to meet your feminine needs.
She settled down beside her books after putting her ‘gifts’ away, the chocolate bar not far. She constantly stared at her phone, and when she realized she was looking forward to some sort of response, she felt disgusted. Still, she couldn’t help but smile when her screen lit up.

Her pen absentmindedly scribbled in her notebook, and her head rest in her free hand.

Never in his life has he ever pitied women as he did now. Golden eyes shift back and forth along the aisle, bland confusion making its way into his face as he pick up a package of pads. Is this what she was looking for? He reads it over before shrugging. It matched her vague description at least. On the way to checkout, he snags a small box of chocolate, knowing that at least she’d want that, right? He gives the cashier who scans him out a hard stare as she titters about the boyfriend picking up pads. Why am I doing this again? Only to humor a whim, he’s sure. Plucking up the bag, he’s quick to mount his cloud to find this mysterious texter.
What he finds, when he peeks into a window of the address, is that bratty college student. And he snorts, rolling his eyes as he easily sneaks into the building, finding her door. Writing out a quick note on a scrap piece of paper, he sends her a text stating that the bag was just outside her door. And he leaves, snickering to himself. The note read, “You know, little teacher to be, I think the first lesson you should teach is checking your phone to see whom you texted. Just a thought. –That poor business man you harassed at the park.”
Maggie runs to the door, and as soon as she read the note, her cheeks flushed and she grabbed her phone and practically smashed the screen as she tapped it.
[ Text ] ASSHOLE. WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME IT WAS YOU?
Oh god, this was so mortifying. She just went ahead and asked a practical stranger, one that she basically hated on top of that, to go and get her some pads. Would she ever be able to live it down?
Most likely not.

At least she tried to be civilized about the whole thing. Besides, it’s a whole lot easier for her to be polite over a text.
