His nose crinkles at her kisses at first, trying his hardest to reject her affection, but it doesn’t take long for him to give into the warm fuzzy feeling that Emiko gives him. “I know, you’re my fucking leach,” Felix wrapped his arms around her shoulders “and I love it.”

Emiko presses her frame to the other's familiar body, smiling widely up at him. "I wouldn't want it any other way, to be completely honest." She tilts her head, pecking his lips once more. "I have somewhere I want to take you."

Laina hesitates, but nods softly. She couldn't look at them without feeling immense guilt. It hurt. Their expression, their voice weaker than they'd ever heard before. "It was only to protect you.."

    Peter exhales and turns to the girl with an amused expression on his face. “You were just talking about how hot I am.” He chuckled, wiggling his eyebrows.

It took a lot to get the frail girl upset, but Peter pushed her buttons well. She turns in her seat, staring at him. "But you said it was 'tough'. Explain to me your logic, Petey. Why would me calling you 'hot' be tough?"

     —Winona looked over her shoulder, noticing a stranger as she continued to run her fingers over the guitar strings. “Hey, you,” she called, beckoning the person over with her hand.

     She stopped playing for a moment as the person settled in next to her. “Tell me how this sounds, yeah?” She began to play the guitar while singing a slowed down accoustic version of a pop song.

Emiko's attention perked when she was called over. Slowly, she walked towards her. She was slightly hesitant. Tilting her head to the side, her dark eyes wandered from the guitar to the girl. She was pretty.. young.. homeless..? She sat next to her and folded her hands in her lap. "Sure.. can do." Moments into the performance, the young girl was completely drawn in, and the other had her complete attention.

     Peter has no idea what the person next to him is going on about. He’s toned them out ten minutes ago.  “Mhm.” The boy hums in agreement when the person is finished. He takes a long drag of his cigarette.

         ”Sounds tough.”

Emiko knew he hadn't been listening. He was Peter. Peter didn't listen. She continued to brush her hair, staring at him through the mirror. "Yes. I'm sure you would know if you were actually listening, hm? Tell me, Peter. What did I just say? Get one topic right. Just, go on. Try."

The woman looked down at her words, biting down on her lower lip lightly as the other spoke. “I did used to like you, a lot, I did.. But things change. I got too involved in this business to focus on anyone else but myself and making him happy.” She sighed, looking up at her again. “Well, can you blame me? This isn’t exactly ‘putting a girl in the mood’ talk. I said I’d do what you want, so let’s do it. I’d rather not die at your fathers hands. But at least get me in the mood to pleasure you, because I assume it’s about your pleasure as it’s my punishment?”

Laina couldn't do this. When Laina wasn't being a multiple-faced bitch, she could be herself around Calliope. She wanted to hang the act up for one fucking day. More than likely, she was going to leave the business, and go solo, as she said. She might as well make this last time count. "Where would you like to go..?" She cut her off before she could answer, "-not to fuck. To eat.." She smiles weakly, "The little diner you like? Thai? Mexican?"

— "Wasn’t I right, though? It was the longest joke you’ve ever heard, hm?" he laughed. His demeanor was one of facetious joking and pleasant drinking, but inside he was feeling utter turmoil. He did his best to smile through it. He hoped he was entertaining her, she seemed a bit aloof and like she wasn’t enjoying his company, but he couldn’t really gauge her interest properly. "Oh, by the by, my name’s Danny, what’s yours?" he said. "I tell you the world’s longest joke, but I don’t tell you my name, that’s just like me."

The petite girl tilts her head at him, nodding softly. "You certainly were right, yes. I suppose you could say I don't really have a common sense of humor. I like puns.. Cheesy things... Short jokes." She grins softly. "Emiko. Nice to meet you."

"How is fucking you making it right? I don’t think your Daddy would see it as so, unless of course he’s watching or he’s fucking me afterwards?" She retorted. She knew she shouldn’t say the things she was, but she was angry. Calliope didn’t even know what to say to the girl, she just sighed and slumped against the wall. "You guys may be like family, but all I am is a little pawn in your game. We all know that. But whatever, come on, let’s do whatever it takes to make things right."

"Daddy said deal with it, 'it' being you, or he will. His way of dealing with people is to kill them.. I don't want that to happen to you." She knew her feelings about Calliope could be over seen as false, and she was fine with that. It kept things much less complicated, although her intentions were genuine, Calliope didn't have to believe that. She softly glares at her. "He's doing neither. He's actually in a different country right now. Taking care of business.. You used to like me. Quite a bit, if I remember. I figured I could make it right in a way you'd enjoy. I suppose I don't know you well at all." She watched her slump against the wall. "Everyone uses everyone for something, Cal. It's a difference when one person can admit it. Honesty is valued. There's tons of living proof."

"Oh. Please. Don't sound so excited."

— "—- ‘Better Nate than lever!’ Then he ran over the snake. That’s it, that’s the punchline! … Are you asleep?"

Emiko chuckles weakly and then feigns a soft smile. "No, no, of course not.. not yet." She clears her throat and looks away, reaching for her glass.

Calliope let the girl take her hand and she looked down as she was told that she betrayed the ones she works for.. The ones that she had stupidly come to care about. “So what’s my punishment now then?” She asked, looking up at the girl with a furrowed brow as her hand was guided to her ass. “Is this a, I service you sexually, you may or may not service me, and we’re all good and even? How is that going to make me stay? You know, unless you have some hidden camera around here that you’ll be using to blackmail me with?”

Laina exhales and pulls the woman's hand off her body. "For fuck's sake, Cal. You know me. You know us all. We've been partners for such a long time, and you've fucked that up once. I'm giving you an opportunity to make it right, and you won't take it. No matter what any of these equally as fucked up people say, we are practically your family. Ultimately, the only people you can trust. If you want to throw that away, then do so.. Just remember who was there.."

Usually, we--" She pauses, saying the following rather playfully, "--slice and chop up traitors." She wrinkles her nose, "-but you, I wanted you safe. I want to keep you safe.. Just--" She moves the hand she held to her hip, then guiding it by Calliope's elbow to rest on her rear. "--cooperate. Who knows? You could even get a small reward." Manipulation had worked on her very few times before, but that never stopped Laina from trying.
