Because Julie Plec is nothing if not petty.

Julie has a long and storied history of giving shippers just enough of what they want to lull them into a false sense of security before she jams the knife in their gullets (you can argue that DE is exempt; but that’s only because Nina left. Julie is on record as having wanted to restart the triangle if she’d stayed). But y’all thought you were gonna somehow be exempt from this track record.

And while you are going through what the rest of the shippers in the plecverse have experienced at one time or another, you will not find sympathy here.

Because you got this shit coming.

From day 1 your corner of the fandom has been godawful. For SEVEN years you bullied, harassed, ridiculed and threatened shippers of every other ship in the TVD/TO fandom (and some other fandoms during polling season)

You trolled and bodyshamed and told people to kill themselves—everyone from the showrunners to the castmembers to other shippers.

And then after Julie flat out said this, you didn’t proceed with caution. You didn’t think that maybe she wouldn’t give you what you treated everyone like shit for. No, you chose to double and triple down on being complete assholes to everyother part of this fandom like you had been already for years.

So no, you don’t get sympathy. Because if ever there was a fandom that didn’t deserve endgame, it’s this one.
