Just the reaction he was expecting. It fueled his amusement seeing the teen's expression, and it caused the feline to release another low chuckle. Surely Link was good entertainment for him, something that he hardly encountered anymore. Watching him approach with amber eyes, Cheshire's grin widened a bit.

→ He’d believed the land he wandered into was the lost woods, but now that he’s actually taken a better look, this is not the lost woods, unless it’s an unknown part of the maze-like woods.
Watching the teen's actions once the sentence was concluded, the feline vanished. It wasn't that far of a distance where he appeared once again, though it was definitely somewhat of a walk away.

The appearance however did differ from the one he was used to. It did have a decent resemblance to the area the Hero seemed more used to. It did not break the Cheshire's unnerving grin.

Deceiving indeed. He hasn't gotten the chance to show off his ways of entering and exiting. That would certainly spook the other, and earn Chess some entertainment. Nearly a win-win for everyone in his mind.
