How it probably went down when the Hogwarts founders picked the school motto

Rowena Ravenclaw: Okay so if we're gonna build a castle here and start a school for all the kids with magic, we should have some kind of motto
Helga Hufflepuff: You're right. What should we pick?
Ravenclaw: Idk
Godric Gryffindor: (somewhere in the forbidden forest) Salazar look Imma tickle this sleeping dragon
Salazar Slytherin: Godric that's stupid pls don't tickle the sleeping dragon
Gryffindor: IMMA TICKLE THE SLEEPING DRAGON
Slytherin: NEVER TICKLE A SLEEPING DRAGON
Hufflepuff: Huh. What's that in latin?
Ravenclaw: Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus
Hufflepuff: That's some pretty solid advice you know. None of our students will die because they tickled a sleeping dragon
Ravenclaw: You're totally right
Hufflepuff: It should be our motto
