Amy Cooper calls the cops on a black man in Central Park, addressed as Mr. Cooper, and falsely claims he is threatening her life after requesting her dog be leashed in a leashed dog area.

She is the head of insurance investment of Franklin Templeton, who merely put her on administrative leave.

The video also shows Amy Cooper abusing and choking her dog, and has since surrendered it to the shelter it was adopted from.

It also appears, through posts to her dogs Instagram account, that she is a frequent animal abuser / neglectful.

Her racism could have gotten this man killed and she knew it. She tried to sic the NYPD on an innocent black man and she knew the possible outcome of her actions.

What's really sad is that I feel like the concerns about animal abuse were handled way better & faster than the concerns about fucking racism that could have gotten human being killed.

Update: she has been fired.

this is proof of awareness. She knew the power structure, she knew that him being black made him vulnerable to police violence, she used it, she knew. Calling the police was her intimidation tactic, she invoked her privilege to say that if he challenged her he could end up dead.

But she's of course playing the victim, she says she was "scared" even though she repeatedly approached him. Why would she do that if she was scared and threatened? She wouldn't.

This is not even ignorance, she knew exactly what cards she held and what the consequences could be. She was willing to kill him in order to be not held accountable for having a dog off of a leash.
