That wasn’t valid enough for the green-haired hero. If she had to give up hours of time better spent fighting monsters, then the other heroes could at least show up. Her anger manifested as a glowing green aura, and it presented itself on her face.

The King Engine’s thumping only increased as the aura around her appeared, though the S class himself looked as emotionless as always. Besides the Engine, the only sign that he was anything other than annoyed would be his hands shaking and fussing with his ring in his pockets.

Genos couldn’t help but laugh at that. It was so easy to convince the other man to let the puppy stay. All he had to do was make a sweet face, and now they had a cute new family member. She was taking to King, licking his hand and panting slightly.

The cyborg carried two mugs of hot tea out to the sitting room, setting one in front of the other hero as he sat down next to him, though not too close.

King didn’t really listen to whatever else Genos said, mostly distracted by the puppy. A dog didn’t seem like Saitama’s style, he thought, but so long as Genos was around to take care of it, maybe it would be fine? His attention was pulled away from the dog as the cyborg game back with tea.
“Thanks, Genos. I’m sure it’s fine.”
A nod, and his hand moved away from the dog to grab his mug as he glanced from Genos to his PS3.
