I was swallowed whole. And I got lost in everything That showed me what it meant To be myself.

What consumes us Eventually rejects us, Forgets us, And fails to recognize us.

But the sea has taught me That the vast, beautiful, and pure Return to the shore eventually. And we will be swept under again.
