Spock : *blatantly showing concern while holding on to Bones*
Bones : *processing*
Spock : *still showing that he cares*
Bones : Well, we better get to the control room...
I love this scene because you could clearly see Bones trying to process the fact that Spock is somehow showing some form of emotion and it's directed towards him. His response would have been one of the following:
a) Pointing it out - "Concern Mr. Spock, isn't that an emotion?" His go-to response to Spock
b) Reassurance - "I'm alright. There's no need to worry about me." His would-be response to anyone else
c) Dismissal - "It's nothing. I'm still quite capable of carrying on." His likely response to a superior officer
He goes with none of those and just diverts to their main concern for the moment (the opposite of what he usually does). It's like skipping a cutscene because you weren't prepared for the quick time event. 😅
