‘ i can’t be too sure. i’m not important enough to anyone on this side of things in any other way. – the demon in brady played the part of the best friend matchmaker for two years… so i think if someone is determined enough there isn’t such a thing as too much of a hassle to get their end results. ’ the other woman’s points made sense – but jess wouldn’t admit it. she stuck by her paranoia even though she didn’t know anything about the logistics of resurrection, except that hers would be trickier than most. jess couldn’t think of another reason anyone would bring her back. it wasn’t sam and she hoped to hell it wasn’t her parents.
she hoped not directly mentioning sam would be enough to steer the conversation from him. it hurt too much to think about him most of the time. he deserved to know she was alive and she knew that but her mind told her that her heart wasn’t prepared for all of those risks. if things like having lunch with a demon were already happening, there was no telling what else could be in store for her by sam’s side – if only to talk about how she was back for a few minutes.
‘ there isn’t much mystery around my death. the demon made it rather clear in the hours before he killed me why he was going to. and sorry, but that experience kind of deters me from agreeing to letting you stick around. ’ getting the bastard that brought her back killed so she wouldn’t have to worry about it was one of her top priorities, but not enough to trust a demon. one wouldn’t help her unless it was reeking in some benefit for itself, so she wondered what her intentions were.
‘ oh so this resurrection is just a mere coincidence then? but believe me, if it was a demon who wanted to do this it would have had one hell of a reaction with earthquakes but i don’t remember any happening lately. oh i usually think if they want to keep someone dead they would and hell is one complex little place so if some wanted you alive it would take a lot of power from something to be able to do so especially if it was a demon who did it. ’ ruby did want to find out too for something else to be that strong to be able to resurrect someone.
though she knew how to get her way in the means to find information, she was prepared regardless, she was always a few steps ahead when it came to her planning out to get what she needed. she gave an eye roll at the female’s whole statement though she wasn’t exactly the type to give up so easily.
‘ well believe me not all demons are alike just because we are the same kind doesn’t mean i have the exact same motive for what i want to do. we all were actual humans before the part of being damned to hell so we are more alike then you want to before. if you want some proof of me not being like the rest of my kind, i’m actually working with sam and his brother to stop a common enemy so that must mean something right? ’ she honestly found it quite frustrating to attempt to get the previous dead female to mention she was alive though nothing seemed to be easy.
