This neural network, a learning algorithm trained on 30MB of cookbook recipes, generates new recipes based on probabilities. The resulting ingredients, while their words are individually probable, can end up disturbingly vague. “Yeah… I’m pretty sure this recipe’s gonna contain some… chunks.”

just when I thought my job couldn’t get any better I met a guy there who has 5 cats AND used to run a cat rescue. He has several cat tattoos and spent our entire lunch hour showing me pics and trading cat stories with me. Yesterday he came over to my desk to show me pics of his friend’s new kitten too!!
