want to introduce a friend or loved one to homestuck? for the love of god, dont send them to homestuck.com. definitelyΒ use the unofficial collection if you can. (tragically for mobile-only internet users, this vastly superior homestuck reading experience does require a computer with mac/windows/linux os.)

get the unofficial homestuck collection at http://bambosh.github.io/unofficial-homestuck-collection; download and installation are quick and easy, the audio and video quality are superb, the games are playable, there are settings you can enable for improved navigation and accessibility, the new reader mode is excellent and spoiler-free, it comes with a huge archive of homestuck-related and homestuck-adjacent material (other mspa adventures, paradox space comics, news posts, snapd8s, hussie juvenalia, etc)β€”and if thats not enough customization options for you, the whole thing is open source and moddable.

Why Dragon Quest Builders 2 is the best game

Things I look for in a game:

  • Good, relatable NPCs that have genuine and natural dialogue.
  • If I have to have a follower they are competent, relatable and enjoyable to have around.
  • Cooking mechanics
  • Good post-game
  • Fun, challenging and rewarding combat
  • Puns
  • Sandbox capabilities if applicable so I can personalise + build things
  • On that note, character customisation where possible
  • Monsters, bonus if they are tameable or have some kind of lexicon.
  • Or pets/animal companions
  • A good, cohesive storyline that concludes satisfyingly and has a challenging final battle/area
  • Fishing mechanics that don’t take over the game, that isn’t too challenging but feels good to succeed and grow competent at
  • Explorable areas each with their own theme and aesthetic
  • A nice/cute/interesting art style
  • A relaxing feel
  • A solid 70+ hours of gameplay minimum
  • DLC that adds things but isn’t necessary to complete the whole game

What DQB2 has:

LITERALLY ALL OF THIS

Plus Malroth, the best follower NPC I’ve ever seen in a cute himbo dude who is (spoilers) a demon in human form who wrecks anything that gets close to you and does his best to try and be a normal dude and is secretly really goofy even though he tries to be tough.
