I grew up in the suburbs of N. California. I grew up around white kids not thinking anything of it, and didn't realize until I was older that I was "different" so I started dating black men. An experience to say the least. I love that so many other girls can embrace stepping outside of the box. I'm not young, and I'm old enough to know better.

Day 190. Well, I’m in a full raging lupus flare. It’s not pretty. I think I was able to walk 7500 steps yesterday. But I paid for it. So I’m doing a weight loss before and after. Pink shirt and running for donuts is from March 2014. Black dress was last weekend. Let me mention that black dress is the face of lupus. I was flaring and faking the funk.
