She looks somewhere near frustrated
close enough to concern someone, surely,
were they not aware of this being little more
than a face at rest. In her hands a badger
skull is turned. Slowly. Moved to one hand
as she takes up a paint brush coated in
the brightest of blues and begins to sweep
it over the crown. Around one, then both
eye sockets. All work has to be perfect -
not just because it has to look at well as
the human ones, but because they’re all
something made by her. They are her.
Drawing her attention so well that she hardly
seems to notice your approach. Until…
“I’m afraid that the office is currently closed, my dear. Is there something I can help you with?”
