Send me HC + a word and I’ll write a headcanon about it regarding my character.
Oh, my God, so I’ve actually been thinking about this the pastfew days, and I really don’t feel Lucius’ movie portrayal in regardsto Dobby (let’s be honest, movie!Lucius SEVERELY LACKED INCHILL), but no like, I really don’t think he’d LIKE Dobby.
But because Dobby’s so fucking nice, basically.
Lucius was definitely raised, I feel, with an idea that house elves, along with children, women, homosexuals and mudbloods, shouldneither be seen nor heard nor generally involved in important society, and although he learned to get over SOME of these prejudices, others of them clung on.
And the thing is that others of the household (I feel like they probablyhad a staff of three or four), is that they were likely far more traditionalelves who didn’t have any opinions on politics and just got on withtheir stuff, whereas Dobby was sat there with his FEELINGS aboutgood and bad, and it would have pissed Lucius off SO much?
Like he’s really been forced, over the years, to change himself andscar himself in order to properly suit himself to his STATION, and hereis this tiny, insignificant little bastard who’s contentedly having opinionson things when IT’S STRAIGHT UP NOT HIS PLACE.
I do think there’d be a sense of melancholy once he left, though - notbecause of Dobby himself (fuck that guy UGH with his MORALS) butbecause it’d make Draco sad that his friend was gone. (House elvesaren’t our FRIENDS, Draco– but he doesn’t listen to Lucius.)
