the fact I was in an intense conversation with my ballet director about how to handle a secret and sensitive thing when I got the text these were live, navigated to the website, fought the captcha, and got said merch and my 83 year old director was just like “oh, yes, this is fine and normal” and just LET ME then we carried on like it was nothing out of the ordinary
today in the middle of talking with my directors about a dancer with double pink eye, I went to text our group mom assigned to that dancers group with instructions on how to handle it. when I opened my messaging app, I see a text from my friend that read, “SOGNED CDS LIMIT 1 PER”
I instead navigated to taylorswift.com where I promptly added to cart, fought with a finicky captcha, and managed to secure said signed cd.
Friend knew I had swan lake this weekend and had offered to get me a copy if anything dropped. I had zero hope of acquiring this on my own. the fact I wasn’t on stage or changing costumes or something else when she text is miraculous.
my director asked me if I was texting the group mom, to which I replied, “one second, taylor swift” and she said, “okay” and waited for me to finish before I text the group mom like this was completely normal because let’s be real it is.
I think I like this little life.

Truly love the number of people I've met that have been like "Well I went to a Catholic school as a kid, which is to say I'm not Catholic" like damn Catholic schools really out here doing the exact opposite of missionary work.
How do they even advertise to parents? "Are you Catholic? Would you like your kids not to be? Send them down to Holy Joe's and we'll nip that problem in the bud."

I love Matilda because it's a story about a child who sees injustice around her and gets mad about it and questions why things aren't fair, and instead of the ending being that she learns how the world works and that life isn't fair, she catapults one of the adults who abused her out of a building with her mind
