Their excitement was always so endearing— he wondered how it felt to be consistently participating in Splatfests and the like and not just watching them on the televisions and the like from the plaza. Though at the same time he admitted he probably wasn’t built for it. He’d get exhausted the first match he played, most likely.

“Hmmm..” Kimbra sat in silence for a moment. Poor guy, not being able to take part in splatfests... That’s kinda sad. Maybe there was something she could do.
“Hey Spyke, have ya ever been in a turf war before? Do ya have a specific weapon you like to use? Y’know, we could probably head over to Sheldon’s test arena and do some shootin’!”

“OoooOOOoooooh, scary!” Kimbra commented, chuckling a bit after seeing the ink bomb explode all over the other squid. “All you gotta do is give a couple of those to an enemy team, right??”

Spyke was used to the days after the festival being prime time for sea snail reaping, though this time it had been a little sparse. Not that he minded, as he tended to stock his snails accordingly in case of a shortage, but it was a little disappointing to not be drowning in them as usual directly after a festival. His worries were distracted, though, when the voice of a young Inkling rang against the walls, as if the one it belonged to was trying its best to make sure everyone in the plaza heard it visiting him.
He watched silently as she made her way into his alley and sat herself down, half-amused, half-curious, and felt the familiar spark light in his eyes as sea snails were pulled from the Inkling’s possession along with a few pieces of clothing. He slid one of the snails over and began to work on disconnecting its shell.
❛ yeh, yer right— ‘s about time i got to work again. usually right after the festival it’s a bit of a ‘ard time fer me, since th’ losers don’t got much t’ work wif, and th’ winners want t’ celebrate a few days— eh, ‘ow’d yeh make out, then ? tell me abou’ it. ❜
“Oh, Spyke my man, it was great! I hadn’t been on the winning team before. It was so.... exhilarating!” she explained. “I even managed to rank up as high as possible...! It was definitely one of my good days.”
She continued to explain minor details about the previous splafest, such as her kill streaks, and how squishing other squids under her roller was so satisfying...
“So, uh.... How’s it goin’ with you?”

For anyone who rps as real people/youtubers, I advise that you watch this because I am honestly sick of the rp community right now. You may not see anything wrong with rping as someone when you varify its not actually them but just watch this and see that this is a real person who has feelings and has been brought down due to some people in this community.
P.S. telling someone who has stated that they are uncomfortable being used as a faceclaim that their “making a big out of it” makes you a real asshole.

Looking for a fun way to spend private matches with friends? My friends and I have come up with a really fun game that we tried and had a blast with! Here’s how it goes:
RULES
-Up to 6 squids can play! It’s more fun with only two seekers and up to four hiders (unless you prefer to do a team of 4 seekers and 4 hiders, up to you!) One team is seekers, one team is hiders to make it simple -Seekers: You have to turn your camera around (so you dont see the hiders) and stand for 1 minute, at the 2:00 mark you can go out seeking the hiders! -Hiders: You use the first minute to hide anywhere you can. The only rule is do not hide anywhere the seeker cannot reach (AKA the spawn points/areas, etc) -Echolocators are banned from this game. Play fairly! Any other specials are fine. -Inking is allowed, so is hiding in ink, but be wary as this can make your hiding place very obvious! -Once the seeker finds you, they have to splat you so your splat can count against you being found in the final score! Those with 0 splats are the ones that weren’t found! -The seeker wins if they find everyone in the time limit, if anyone is still hiding at the end, they’re the winners!
This works best if you have current contact with the friends you’re playing with! If you need help on who gets to be seekers and hiders when, use a list randomizer to do so and pick the top two as seekers!
