hi, I’m maxine and I rly need some help w/ funds to get by and pay rent
I’m disabled and unemployed w/out an income and need to get approved for food stamps and medi-cal, both crucial benefits to ensure that I can help sustain both myself and my girlfriend as well as receive long overdue medical care
I’ve had a lot of complications w/ my online applications for both food stamps and medi-cal, errors that cannot be resolved on my end, so I have no other option now besides applying in person and seeking public benefits aid services
I’m almost entirely out of my savings (I only have about $25 left to my name) and it’s not enough to last long enough to actually accomplish what I need to. I need funds to pay for public transit fares to submit my applications and attend subsequent appointments, and also pay phone bills to keep my phone active and contact said services
on top of all this, my girlfriend and I are also almost 3 months behind on rent and she’s had trouble finding work, so we currently don’t have an income b/w us and are constantly scrapping by

Throughout all of this, she continues to advocate for herself, and remains hopeful for the future. My name’s Steph. I’m Amy’s free world penpal through Black and Pink prisoner support network. We’re working together to help her raise the money she’ll need for transition and living expenses once she gets out of prison, in about 7 months. Amy’s looking into therapy, hormones, SRS (sex reassignment surgery), FFS (facial femininization surgery), and possibly additional surgical procedures. As you might guess, these can get really pricey. SRS alone is listed at $12,500; rhinoplasty as part of FFS costs from $3500-5500.
