I hate the term “women of color” Since fucking when is my peach skin not a color? Why must I be excluded from a group of women?
your ~peach skin~ wasn’t a color when this was happening
but now you want to be included
no
"All Lives Matter" is a problematic, racist statement. Stop derailing. Contribute something WORTH contributing.

@chescaleigh hashes out Kanye West’s new music video “Famous.”
I agree with everything except for the first point about boobs. Dicks and tits are not the same. We can’t preach free the nipple because all boobs are boobs and then tell Kanye to whip his dick out because Taylor swift is topless. Girl cheats are the same as boy chests, or they’re not. You don’t get to cherry pick feminism based on the argument. That is all.
I’m not saying dicks & tits are the same. I’m saying I’m tired of seeing women’s bodies exploited, which is what this video is doing. it’s not new or original. I’m tired of seeing women’s bodies exposed (in this case without consent) just for shock value. if a woman CHOOSES to expose her breasts? awesome. these women didn’t sign up for that. notice how Kim K’s chest is covered, but Amber, Rihanna & Taylor’s aren’t? I believe that’s purposeful and again, is exploitative. My point is, women’s bodies are constantly up for consumption and there’s a clear double standard with how the women & men are presented in this video. My point has nothing to do with #FreeTheNipple
TBH saying this is similar to #FreeTheNipple fails to understand that there’s a difference between willingly exposing one’s chest and being forced. Taylor Swift does not want to have nudes. She’s stated repeatedly she does not take them. When a woman is forced into nudity, it is NOT #FreeTheNipple but rather a humiliation technique. Placing Amber Rose next to himself was a humiliation technique. Placing Rihanna, a successful black woman, next to her abuser was a humiliation technique. Confusing #FreeTheNipple with a man humiliating and degrading women to “put them in their place” does not empower women and actively points out that women, no matter how successful or wealthy or privileged, will be exploited by a man. Famous exploits Taylor Swift’s image for click points and degrades her by showing her topless. Famous exploits Rihanna by baring her and putting her next to her abuser. Famous used Amber Rose and puts her next to her ex who’s been humiliating her and degrading her. It does not matter that Amber Rose willingly gets naked - her image is exploitative here. Don’t confuse this with #FreeTheNipple.
Can we pull Kanye off his pedestal yet? Not profound, not interesting, not special. Sick of men being worshipped for such shitty behaviour.
It's just one of those things where you can tell yourself that you're good as much as you want, but it doesn't take root and actually count for something if it doesn't extend beyond words.
Nothin' makes my head hurt quite like people preaching love and kindness where they're seen, then dedicating energy and time to tearing down someone they don't know. Eugh.
