This has been an incredible year for my art! Although I never feel it stacks up against other artists that I admire, I feel comfort in knowing I tried as hard as I could and have a lot of new ideas for the coming year. Each year, I do a list of reflections from the year, and accomplishments, so here's my list from 2016, in no particular order: - Celebrated my three year anniversary with Sonia Leticia - Showed in 6 San Francisco art galleries for the first time! - Designed and painted the largest theatrical set I've ever done (and working on the next!) - Successfully rented apartments for a full year in the second most expensive city in the world (most expensive in the country) - Launched my art website, and my online store! - Interned for the amazing Sirron Norris (of Bob's Burgers fame) on a mural in the Mission -Voted in the primaries and the presidential election - Met Steve Wozniak, Steph Curry, Grumpy Cat, Lars Ulrich, Nicholas Winding Refn and Peter Dinklage - Made many realizations about my art and the direction it's headed - Met and photographed Stan Lee next to one of our wax figures (!) -seriously still freaking out about this - Live painted at two events I think those are the things that stick out to me most. I'm thankful for all the friends I've met this year and looking forward to a great year ahead!
