During one of Birds of Prey’s fight sequences, Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) identifies a teammate’s vulnerability and provides a critical assist — by lending her a hair tie. This small act of sisterhood is as familiar in an everyday context as it is surprising in the DC Extended Universe. It’s one of the many ways that Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) differs from its superhero movie forebears: It not only stars women, it was made by them, too. “There’s more women in front [of] and behind the camera than any movie I’d worked on, which is pretty incredible,” says Robbie, who also produced the film. “It was partly a conscious decision, but it also always felt like the organic, right choice to make.”

I think it’s incredible how seals experience the world.

Many of the deep-diving seals can go blind during their lifetime and live just fine.

Round whiskers flap around in the water and create their own turbulence, but the specific whisker shape they have cancels turbulence, so they can pinpoint trails of turbulence from prey. Other places to see my posts: INSTAGRAM / FACEBOOK / ETSY / KICKSTARTER

Great idea until you have 7th graders in Florida picking your president…. I’m not sure that the people that actually agree to this idea understand that kids would just vote how their parents would because no seventh grader has more than two brain cells. I was in seventh grade when the 2016 election happened, and holy fuck you do not want those kids picking your President, let alone having rights in general

So then maybe, as was the point of this post, maybe the court system shouldn’t be executing 7th graders (most of whom are disproportionately black and brown people)? Because if you don’t think they’re mature enough to vote and pick a president, then I’m guessing that they aren’t mature enough to be tried as adults and then executed???
