a weird thing happened this morning, though. my scar hurt again. last time that happened it was because voldemort was at hogwarts. but i don’t reckon he can be anywhere near me now, can he? do you know if curse scars sometimes hurt years afterward?

AN: this is definitely inspired by the line, though it doesn’t directly appear in the fic X)
Kate told herself she was visiting the McCall house for Allison’s sake, visiting to find out where Scott got his puppy dog eyes from, visiting for a good reason.
They were flimsy excuses the first few times, and beyond ridiculous when she knew Melissa’s work schedule and brought her dinner most nights. Scott thought she was there to intimidate him- it was as good a reason as any. (Chris and Victoria thought so too; she thought they would have known better.)
