Quick sketch for #inktober day 1. I didn’t have my inking tools on me, but I did have a collection of random art supplies in my bag, so this is watercolor brush pen and silver sharpie, with a little digital futzing.

I don’t know how many of these I’ll do, and I’m not willing to commit to a whole month of daily drawing, but I am trying to bring regular sketching back into my creative practice and hopefully I’ll be able to have some fun with this!

10 Years of Drawing Cars on Prairie Roads

I’ve been doing this comic making thing for about ten years now, and as I just finished a new comic in which a car drives down a road in Kansas/Missouri, I thought it was a good time to examine that motif as it has appeared in my work.

Books in the world!

Hey Folks,

Now that all of the Kickstarter preorders have been fulfilled Who is the Silhouette? has been made available from Allison and Tom’s Gumroad store (print or digital) or Amazon (print only)!  If you want additional copies, missed the kickstarter, or have a friend who needs this book, you know where to go.

We also have a favor to ask those of you who have already gotten your copies: Amazon runs on reviews, so if you enjoyed our work please drop on by and let other readers know what you think!  It’s a great free way to support the project now that it’s out in the world.

Thank you all for everything you’ve done to help us get this book made.  This project has been a tremendous joy to work on, and we couldn’t have done it without the friends, family, backers and collaborators who helped bring it to life!

Here are some illustrations I did of some fruit, cheese, and a steak dinner.  Working on them made me hungry!

In 2014 I finished my first Graphic Novel, Rita, as my thesis at The Center for Cartoon Studies.  I went back and took a look at what it might look like now if I had started it today.

WIP of an Elven Monk DnD character.  It’s still got a ways to go.  Right now he’s in the tiny hands/big head phase.
