#can we just talk about the fact that up to that point finn was practically always cold and distant with her #but the thought of rae hating him for what happened the day before bothered him SO MUCH #he literally drove all the way to her house simply to apologize for something that wasn’t even his fault #and tells this girl he just met a few weeks prior and always acted a bit arrogant towards her #to stick a boot up ONE OF HIS BEST BUDS ASS #sorry but if you don’t believe finn fancied rae even just a little bit at this point in the story you need to rewatch the show carefully

Also, he might have seen this coming with Archie.

If he already at least suspected he was gay, he might have been confused - maybe he was wrong about Archie, maybe he did fancy girls, maybe he fancied girls and boys - but what if he’s right?

What’s Archie doing? And why is Finn so unsettled by the idea?

He’s seen Arch pull a random girl at a party. Seen him chatting to a few who were gooey eyed over him.

But this is different. And he’d never worried then. It’d never gotten under his skin so much because his worry wasn’t so much for Archie, but for the girl - what’s going to happen to Rae if Archie is gay?

Why did Archie have to choose her?

Is he just pissed off because Archie might string her along?

The dawning realisation comes as he’s brushing his teeth before bed one night; he’s pissed because he might not be - because they might be becoming a couple, because Archie might have got there first.

He lies in bed upside down so he can let the smoke go straight out the window above the foot of his bed (he’s not supposed to smoke in the house) and finishes the pack thinking over it all.

Now he’s just conflicted because it feels like either way it’s a shithole and it makes him a shitty person for wanting this girls heart to be broken by his best mate just so he can help her fix it.

And then Archie done fucked up and he’s brought into it because Archie’s his best mate and he can’t stand the thought of her being stood up in that cafe so he gets on his bike.

And it goes terribly wrong. Finn fucks up again somehow and now he’s part of this deceit and he can’t bear it, so before he starts sending smoke signals out his bedroom window again (because she’ll never get the message that way) he’s back on his bike, over to Rae’s and he’s washing himself of the whole drama.

But just before he goes she says that and it takes him a few metres down the road before the smile really grows on his face because maybe there’s hope yet. And man, he loves her sass.

mmfd fandom...

So, I’ve fallen back into my mmfd obsession (I first watched the show four years ago!). I spent hours scrolling through old tumblr blogs, looking at gifsets and reading fanfiction. Almost everything I could find was at least 3-4 years old, which made me feel nostalgic and a bit sad, tbh.

I just wanted to see if there were still any of you out there? Maybe we could bring it back to life, idk.
