Hey, saw your ask for otp stuff, and, saw your post on the DrauKarna otp as well, so I couldn't really hold myself back, on the otp ask. Sssssssssssoooooo, my ask for otp would be two of my fave couples- DuryoSubhadra, and BhanuDury. Waiting for a reply, Arpita :D

yes yes yes gimme all the ships

Subhadra-Duryodhan
  • which one hogs the blanketDuryodhan does (bc he’s barrel-chested I mean all those shoulders c’mon). Incidentally, he also snores (and so does she). So when Duryodhan hogs the blanket, Subhadra doesn’t pull back (ofc no- she’s smart, she knows that he’s stronger), she spoons. (She prefers being the little spoon because when she’s the big spoon she’s less of a spoon and more of a… fork… not enough of her to spoon, y’know what I mean?)
  • which one cuts the other’s hairDuryodhan trims Subhadra’s hair and he’s rly good at it (srsly all split ends gone and length remains nearly the same).
  • which one makes coffee for the other every morningSubhadra wakes up before him, but Duryodhan doesn’t drink coffee (idk he may, he prefers masala chai though).
  • which one picks up the pizzaDuryodhan, most often, with a lot of chocolate, because whenever they order pizza, Subhadra is either curled up in a duvet sobbing over fictional people and watching supremely unrealistic Indian TV soaps or in a bad mood.
  • which one likes their music on full volumeBoth or neither, depends on their mood, really.
  • which one complains about the crumbs on the bedSubhadra. Often. Because “take your bag of chips to the carpet-! NO I DON’T CARE WHO’S PLAYING- KARNA GET HIS ASS OFF THE BED I’M NOT CLEANING AGAIN”
  • which one is ticklishOh God Duryodhan. Duryodhan is so ticklish that he’s smile with much abandon in his sleep if Subhadra’s hair get anywhere near him in all that tossing around.
  • which one sings and which one plays the musicThis happens often: Subhi will hum some song while (trying to) cook, or while sketching, and Duryodhan will unconsciously tap to it (or cut the veggies to the rhythm of the tune).
  • which one proposesDuryodhan does.
Bhanumati-Duryodhan
  • which one hogs the blanketSurprisingly, Bhanumati. Because she will keep rolling over in her sleep and gathering the blanket and Duryodhan sleeps saare ghode beych ke so he’s often only half-covered.
  • which one cuts the other’s hairNeither.
  • which one makes coffee for the other every morningIDK man both rise late so… they make their own coffee? Or whoever gets to the kitchen first?
  • which one picks up the pizzaWhoever’s turn it was to cook. :P
  • which one likes their music on full volumeNeither of them, unless there’s dancing happening.
  • which one complains about the crumbs on the bedNeither. Since they have a pact that the person who eats on the bed will clean up after themselves or sleep on the couch for two nights.
  • which one is ticklishDuryodhan is v ticklish (see above) (though Bhanumati’s hair aren’t v long).
  • which one sings and which one plays the musicThey’re the duet people. They both sing and play while doing their thing.
  • which one proposesBoth blurt it out simultaneously.

Vasudev Krishna, foremost of the Yadavas. The cowherd, the butter-thief, the forest romancer, the Kingslayer and maker of Kings. The friend, the saviour, the teacher and the brother. Govind, Madhav, Keshav and Shyam. He lived as a man, but is remembered as a God.

Paarth-Panchaali

Krishna stood beside Maharaj Drupad, watching his two best friends exchange wedding garlands. He smiled knowingly at the shrewd King’s obvious satisfaction at having his daughter married to the young man he had coveted for so long. Krishna himself smiled for another reason. Yes it was true that Draupadi’s marriage also included Arjun’s four brothers, yet Krishna felt a special kind of satisfaction seeing Arjun take his beloved sakhi around the sacrificial fire. What they didn’t know…what may take them a lifetime to realise, was that they were both a special part of him. Arjun was literally half of his soul. Krishna knew that their friendship would transcend normal levels and come to be thought of as a relationship between man and God, but the love which he held for Arjun couldn’t be measured in human form.
Krishna chuckled as he remembered their past life as Nara-Narayan, the twin incarnations of the four-armed Vishnu. Their time at Badrinath had been beautiful indeed, but they had spent most of their time immersed in penance and austerities. Their relationship in this life was going to be very different. Krishna openly laughed in anticipation of the adventures he would share with Arjun. Drupad furrowed his eyebrows and turned to glance around for the source of the commotion, but seeing it was his daughter’s beloved sakha, he smiled and continued throwing flower petals over the bride and groom.
Krishna watched as Draupadi took Arjun’s hand for the last phera. Draupadi or Krishnaa as she was named at birth, was no less important than Arjun to him. It was solely for her benefit that he had brushed aside his never ending political conflicts and come to stand protectively beside her. Her primordial being was that of his Lakshmi, yet in the Dwapar Yug a grand design had been wrought, one which, this time, entrusted her human form to him in a brotherly fashion. Yet he knew that this partial form of Lakshmi would find her Vishnu one way or another. And thus she had. While Arjun won both Draupadi’s hand and heart, destiny sought to match her with Vishnu in his entirety, namely with his Sudarshan chakra, Kaumodki mace, the Padma lotus and his Panchajanya conch-shell. Arjun’s four brothers were those 4 attributes of Vishnu, Krishna mused. His face clouded when he recalled all that they would have to suffer in this life. But as Draupadi and Arjun bent to touch his feet for the customary blessing, he felt his resolve multiply. They wouldn’t be alone. He, Vasudev Krishna, would stand beside them, holding them dear in his heart. They were his most vital elements for the Leela he would perform in this world, yet more importantly they were his best friends.

Madri

She was the Princess of Madra and the younger sister of the fiercesome Shalya. Known to be exceedingly beautiful, Bhishma arranged her marriage to the then King of Hastinapura, Pandu. Thus Madri became his second (and some would say more favoured) Queen. When the time came for Pandu’s exile, both his wives followed him into the forest. After the birth of Yudhishtira, Bhima and Arjun, Madri begged Pandu to be allowed to use Kunti’s divine mantra so that she too could bear her husband’s sons. Thus she gave birth to twins, Nakul and Sahadev after invoking the Ashwini Kumars (and also Kunti’s displeasure!) Sadly, despite both Pandu and Madri knowing the nature of Pandu’s curse in full detail, they were unable to overcome their desire for one another and were engaged in intercourse even while Pandu’s life left his body. Overcome by guilt, sorrow and the awareness that comes at the end of a journey, Madri begged Kunti to allow her to join Pandu in the afterlife by attending his funeral pyre. Kunti was not inclined to agree as this right was usually reserved for the first/elder wife, but Madri was adamant that she could not live without Pandu. She implored Kunti to remain with their sons, and in a moment of rare honesty, she made it clear that she was not quite certain whether she could keep from being impartial to her own sons at the expense of Kunti’s children and the future of the five Pandavas combined. Madri advised Kunti not to help their son’s enemies before their time and heed her words. Kunti saw the wisdom in this and blessed Madri as a younger sister. Later, Madri sat upon Pandu’s funeral pyre, arranging flowers in his hair. She raised her hand in blessing to the Pandavas as Yudhishtira and Nakul came forward with the flaming torch.
