yeah oh my god i went through hell with that one turtles song like i used the original studio version and the whole video got blocked so i used a live version and edited the pitch and it STILL got content ID matched so i just left it as its not blocked in any countries and i don’t mind whoever profiting from it but when they’re like “no this is blocked in 292 countries” then i can’t use a song at all

copyrighted content plus even if it was an option i wouldn’t, i would feel awful making a profit from them and it’d feel morally wrong (i already feel bad about getting a physical plaque thing from basically their content? should i ask to mail it to them or cut it into pieces and mail 100,000 tiny pieces of it to everyone? who knows)

it got copyright strikes bc i was very careless and used to upload/give out old videos that dan/phil didn’t want on the internet anymore which i regret completely and they rightfully were like fuck that but i’m glad it happened because i learned from it (kinda? i still own nothing i upload but i’m more mindful and careful now)

thank you so much :D and nooooooooooo i’m definitely not haha i don’t want it to seem like i have a gross superiority complex for making dumb edits. being a youtuber seems like such a tough job so i respect every (except manipulative ones etc) youtuber regardless of whether they have 0 subscribers or 1 billion. i’m no one i like broccoli and spill lasagna on my shirt every time i eat it. have a nice day :^)

SO OH MY GOD I JUST RECEIVED AND I AM IN SHOCK. i’m bad at words so forgive the lack of soppy speech but i am so incredibly grateful for this and words can’t describe how much it means to me. i’m literally just a fan and i get THIS for making some dumb edits? i am so in shock. thank you to dan for creating a vyou account in 2011 and in the nicest possible way thank you to vyou for shutting down in march 2013 causing the first strange channel to be created (and then this to be re-created in june 2013 when i messed up the first channel) but yeah thank you so so so so so much if you’ve ever viewed/subscribed/commented/liked a video you are never obliged to or forced to so to receive so much love from this incredibly kind community means the world to me. *soppy part* the last few years of life haven’t been the best and ever since i started this channel it has helped me more than anyone will ever know *end soppy part*
thank you to dan for subscribing and (hopefully) not having a problem with these weird creepy dumb videos i upload, it has been a joy and as long as i still have the channel i will continue to spam your sub boxes with complete trash. <3

(also fun fact i wasn’t sure if this would actually arrive as i’m not a partner and i don’t monetize videos so when it did arrive i was in my pjamas scrubbing my front door with a pink sponge and i probably scared the delivery man)
