Rachel. Need to get a life. Permanently expecting my letter to Hogwarts. It got lost in the owl post.

Ravenclaw Headcanon

Every once in a while, a Ravenclaw uses the same spell that’s in the Great Hall to make the ceiling in their common room mimic the weather outside. Most of them find it calming, especially when it’s raining.

I am a great believer in poeticism, and today is no different. Any Potterhead knows that on this day, 1st September 2017, Harry Potter is taking his family to King’s Cross, nineteen years after the Battle of Hogwarts 1998. JK Rowling’s genius was what inspired me to want to write, after I was left feeling bereft at the end of her final book. As such, it feels only appropriate that I release the last instalment of my fantasy series, Charlie Anderson, sitting as I am today in King’s Cross station and looking out at Platform 9 ¾. There have been days where writing was the only thing that could make me happy; however appalling my grammar and language is, creating this world has been an escape for me. I do not propose to be a good writer; I’m about to start a Maths degree if that provides any indication. However, I began this project five years ago and beyond anything I could have ever hoped, today I finally finished this series that is as much a part of me as I am a part of it. Whether everyone or no one reads this, I completed it and that’s what matters. All five of the books are available to download FREE from my website: please enjoy.

I AM AT KINGS CROSS TODAY AND ITS NINETEEN YEARS LATER AND I JUST FINISHED THE LAST BOOK IN MY SERIES AND ITS FREE

19 Years Later

The Battle of Hogwarts was fought the summer of 1998. That means that the day the trio wave off their own children from Platform 9 ¾ is the 1st September 2017. That will be the fourth ending the Harry Potter fandom has suffered; this is the finale. We have to go out with a bang. On that day, 1st September 2017, we should all gather at King’s Cross Station to celebrate the magic of Harry Potter and what the queen of the Magical World, J.K. Rowling, gave us. We should dress up, meet the fandom, light Chinese lanterns and release them into the sky, as a final celebration of our era.

know what makes me cry?

in deathly hallows when harry and hermione go see james and lily’s gravestone and they see hundreds upon hundreds of messages scribbled on or around the grave that say “good luck harry!”, “here’s to the boy who lived” and others of the sort.

they all knew harry would come to see his parents, and everyone knew that in that moment he would grieve, just like they all did. All of those hundreds of people visited james and lily’s grave, and each one of them wanted to tell harry that although he was an orphan, he was loved by so many.

i also can’t help but think that the first message scribbled on there was “you are loved, harry” written by remus two nights after halloween. every visitor since has made their own addition over it, but if you look very closely near the bottom of the grave, you can see it. every full moon the message glows faintly.

THE CURSED VALLEY If you’re looking for a little light summer reading … the third book in my young adult fantasy series, Charlie Anderson, is now available for FREE DOWNLOAD on my website, alongside the first two volumes (also free). If you like magic and awkward teenagers, this should be right up your street. I wrote these books as a little bit of fun for myself, but I hope you guys enjoy them too xx
